I have a foodsaver, model V3840, supposed to release the bottom when green buttons are pushed, it is not unlocking.

Feels like there is something not releasing inside. I have tried every variation of holding, including shaking it upside down, nothing releases. I would like to clean the inside, can't get in like it shows....

Hi, I need to disassemble a Food Saver V3840 vacuum sealer, I need a service manual please?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from Laundry Dryers.

How on earth did you manage to plug in a 110 volt plug into a 220 volt socket? There is no service manual for these units. Return it to them for warranty repair. There is one video that may help.

Foodsaver V3840 Won't vacuum air out and wont go to seal. A label states the seals are not removable. Do you know how to fix?

you are not using a "good" bag. Make sure there are no holes and that the bottom and sides of the bag are properly sealed. It will run all day and not pull the air out if the seal is broken anywhere.

FoodSaver v3825 (I believe it's the same as the v3840) will not pivot open so I can clean the drip tray - the release buttons are releasing, but it is hung up on something.

Mine did that when I interrupted the cycle. I plugged it in and let the motor fully open the sealing chamber then I was able to pivot open the machine.

Can't open my foodsaver for cleaning

I had the same problem and got this information from Foodsaver:

Turn Foodsaver unbit on and press the cabncel button. That should release the unit for cleaning.

It worked for me!
