1. Begin with all timer segments on the dial 'pushed up'.
2. Push 'down' the segments required for the 'ON' time;
each segments represents 1/2 hour interval.
3. Rotate the dial clockwise until the 'TIME NOW' aligns with the pointer.

Have a NEC FR-480 and don’t understand the settings 1,2,3,winter What setting should it be on now in Summer?

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Gateway Internal Speakers Stopped Working

click on Start / Control Panel / Sounds And Audio Devices

look at Speaker Settings / Advanced -- be sure it is set to your internal speakers.

the tabs across the top; go to Audio. -- be sure it is set to your sound card. For example, mine is "SoundMax Digital Audio" ... If there is another device you use that plugs into your USB, it could have stuck on "USB Codex". If it is, just put it on "NameOfSound Card" ...

Good luck, Don't be afraid to look all around inside the Sounds And Audio Devices box. And is this helped, please take a sec to rate me. Thanks!

Is there a firmware update for my Toshiba 62MX196 that allows the use of a multi-stream cable card?

Yes there is. It requires an authorized Toshiba Technician to install the firmware update. The Firmware Upgrade "Part Number" is 2006REG270. Toshiba charges the Service repair firm $67.24 for the Smart Disk Flash Memory card. The memory card requires the service firm to also purchase an additional "adaptor" form Toshiba. The Service firm charged me an additional Sevice Call and hour of the technicians time which came to an additional $208 or so. So for $275 you can get the Multistream Cable Card to work. Now I have to contend with the goofball cable company to quit telling me that they can't authorize the cable card to permit premimum channels without me either using their cable box or a TIVO box... It's amazing how many of these folks connected with this whole industry don't understand (or is it don't want to understand???) how these cable cards work. Good luck! It took me 2 months of waiting on Toshiba to deliver the "parts". Toshiba sucks. They provide almost zero customer service.

Brinks 42-1020 is analog timer with 48 segments (pins) located around edge of dial.
Each segment (pin) represents 15 minutes in 24 hour day.
Segments on this timer push down and outward.

I have a Kenneth Cole KC1683 watch. I don't understand what the dial at the top left does. There are 3 dials. The main one has the hour and minute hands. There is another small one for the seconds....

It is the dual time zone dial. Set it for another timezone, like London or whatever you're interested in, a timezone your friend is in so you don't call them at 3 in the morning.
