If you have purchased a Samsung smart TV with Smart Hub you will be able to connect to the internet using the web browser found in the Apps when running Smart Hub function.

You will need to have either an Ethernet cable connected to your TV from your router or you can connect using WiFi is your TV is so equipped.

You need to use the menu to go to the internet connection setup.

I have a samsung smart tv and have just activated Netflix. Onlky 1 series pops up that I am not interested in and there is no other opitons to go to the browser, where do you get to that point?

Samsung smart TV

TV has to be connected to internet, then use your remote to go to setup. You will find, somewhere in the setup, a section that refers to network connection.

Samsung smart tv sound cuts in and out

it sounds to me like you have a loose connection
lightly rub your hands over the wires connected to your tv and see if anything is loose
if you cannot find it that way take all of them out and replace them one by one
