Channels 5 &50 are missing on my t/v

is there Sound stage output is stereo if stereo then one side is missing or broken link from ic to speaker, If mono output then use with one side 2 speaker parallel.

Hi Greg, i think your missing something simple.
Pick a channel number you want the Sky on, then in the tv set up
manually tune that channel to 68, or if it's showing lots of numbers for the frequency then just search towards the end and it should pick up. On the Sky box leave a menu showing so it's easier to spot when it gets to picking it up.

If I remember correctly, this is an older model set (late 1980, early 1990 I think). Many cable systems of that era didn't offer the large number of channels they do now, and the cable tuning of many sets was very limited. Most cable companies required you to use a converter box to get all the channels. So you probably aren't missing anything, the set just can't do more.

make sure you have other end of cable connected to aerial/cable or tv distribution.

How is TV audio (from the cable box) getting into the Receiver? If digitally, you wouldn't be missing any one channel on a connection malfunction, you'd lose them all. If analog, swap the channels around to isolate the problem (and reconsider using digital).

You simply need a "Better" antenna system.

I also have a starview box 2 with an NTL connection/ When i put the codes in for example 00 - cd 76 82 bb 22 0a then i press ok then i enter 01 - 35 5e d6 40 6e aa 99 41 then go to channels i get updating data and it stays at 0%. Why ?? What a nightmare !! Can u help !?

plug out the pwer for the tv and letit stand for awhile there after plug it in and see what it does ,if that does not fix the problem call in the tech the tv is having problem in the tuner circuit or the IF section good luck,
