Where are the under hood jump points for an 03 E320? Battery totally dead, blade key not opening trunk

Look for red pos jump point under hood hook pos jump cable to it neg to block ur car will get power from jump car n u can open trunk

My Genesis has the battery in the trunk and the owners manual shows using the key hidden in the FOB and using the keyhole under the trunk lid. Why does your key "blade" not work?

Hi Your S class has two batteries. The smaller one is located in the engine bay, and the bigger one in the boot (trunk). No need to access any of them, simply open the door with key, insert key to start engine, you will notice that not all ignition lights will come on, but the engine WILL start, and the batteries will be recharged after a short while.

The trunk latch is operated by a solenoid which it requires power to operate. since the batery is flat then it won't work. I'm not sure where the positive terminal is under the hood but you can connect the positive lead to the alternator wire terminal, and the negative lead can be connected any where on the engine.

switch on your head light see the lights are working or not if not could be flat battery remove mettle key blade from you ignition key it has fixed in it your key tag is hanging on that mettle key near that you can see small sliding switch on your ignition key slide that and pull your mettle key blade out and put in the key hole in boot it's near the rear number plate light put in it and turn left and push inside then will open your boot lid, open boot mat and at right hand you can see another small mat that's the cover for battery open it and jump the battery be carefully, if you jump the battery wrong way be expensive to repair It will blow many control modules jump the battery with fitted right way positive and negative terminals at first time,

I am hoping you don't have the doors locked.
Open the hood and there will be a HOT point (jump station) under the hood. It will usually be housed in red plastic. Jump start it there and all should be a go from there.

Well, the first answer is right but doesn't solve the problem and the second answer is wrong as the battery is in the trunk.

Just had the exact same problem. Battery dead on 2005 ion due to head lights left on which causes the key to stick in ignition.

Could not get to the battery in trunk because key stuck and power trunk switch also dead (no battery power, catch 22).

Solution: I hooked up a battery charger to the positive terminal under the hood by the fuse box and the negative to the engine block and charged it for 20 minutes. You could also jump it using the same terminals.

I have the same issue (battery is completely dead in my 1998 Mercedes C280 and I can't pop open the trunk). I looked under the hood and have no idea where the positive charging post would be - can anyone help me find it? Thanks

hi, if you jack up the car at the front you can power up enough voltage via jump leads red to starter motor and black to earth, hope this helps you, cheers
