Transmitter Programming
Important: All transmitters which are to be recognized by the remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR) must be programmed in a single programming sequence. If the system is placed in program mode, all previously programmed transmitters will be erased upon the receipt of the programming signal from the first transmitter. Up to four transmitters may be programmed. Do not operate or program the transmitters in the vicinity of other vehicles that are in the keyless entry program mode. This prevents the programming of the transmitters to the incorrect vehicle. The order in which the transmitters are programmed is important. The first transmitter programmed will be transmitter #1, and the second transmitter programmed will be transmitter #2. The number on the transmitters are for reference only: #2 can be programmed as #1, or vice versa. Additional unnumbered transmitters are also available. Use care to program the transmitters correctly.
Install a scan tool.
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Use the scan tool Remote Function Actuation Special Function: Program Key Fobs in order to place the remote control door lock receiver into Program Mode. The doors will lock and then unlock in order to confirm program mode.
Important: The scan tool must stay connected until all of the transmitters are programmed.
Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one transmitter. After a delay of 15 seconds, the doors will lock and unlock in order to confirm the programming of that transmitter.
Repeat the previous step in order to program up to 4 transmitters.
Remove the scan tool.
Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation.
How was it programmed ? Was a scan tool used ?
Program All Key Fobs
To complete this programming operation, all keyless entry transmitters associated with the vehicle must be available for programming. Once placed into program mode, all previously programmed transmitters will be erased from memory upon the receipt of the programming signal from the first transmitter.
Close the lift gate.
Ignition ON, access the scan tool Lift gate Module Setup menu and select Program All Key Fobs.
Follow the scan tool on screen instructions in order to program the transmitters. Select "Start" on the scan tool to enter the program mode.
As each transmitter is successfully programmed, the scan tool will show how many transmitters have been placed into memory.
When all transmitters are programmed, exit the program mode by selecting "Stop" on the scan tool. The vehicle will not respond to the transmitters until the program mode is exited.
Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation.
If your outside temperature is not showing on your clock, that may mean that the clock and the transmitter have lost their connection. To reconnect them you must first take the batteries out of both of the units for 15 minutes. First put the batteries back into the transmitter, and then the clock. Let them sit side by side inside your home. When both the indoor and outdoor temperatures show on your clock with the same reading, or within two degrees of each other, then you may put your transmitter back outside. Remember to keep the transmitter out of the direct sun in a dry place. Also keep it away from metal, which can affect the readings.
The temperature sensor has a range of 100 feet and it works as a radio. So does not have to be facing the monitor. Keep it away from direct sun. You could mount it on the fence away from the house to reduce radiation heat from the house.
The wireless unit that transmits to the indoor unit is weather resistant, but not immersible. Even so, try to shield the transmitter from the sun and rain, if possible. When positioning the transmitter, keep in mind that direct sunlight may cause false readings and mounting it on heat-retaining materials (like brick) will show a higher temperature, even after sunset. Avoid mounting it anywhere near things that give off heat (air conditioner units, dark exterior walls, etc.).
LaCrosse has not yet uploaded the manual for this, but you may check later at:
I'm a license electrician, I can only think of two possiblities, either the sun is interfering with an infrared safety switch or it's causing your safety switch mechanism to overheat.
The most common is the floor level beam, if possible try to shade your safety switch plus a few inches beyond the lense.
If you have the touch strip on the bottom of the door I'm afraid I don't have a solution beyond replacing the strip and I'm not sure that will work.
hi maria10102..hope this helps..good luck!!! The sun canopy is located in the rim of the shell. • Place the carrying handle in the carrying position. • Open the rim by pushing the button at the back under the rim and releasing it. • The sun canopy is now visible in the opening • Pull it out and place the ends of the sun canopy with the buttonholes over the hooks on the carrying handle • When storing the sun canopy, make sure you place it in the rim carefully and close the rim properly
