Intellifax 4100 clean drum corona wire

Hi Sandy58 this is the fix. all you have to do is: open the front cover (leave it open) and press the clear button then it will ask you NEW DRUM AND YOU ENTER 1 FOR YES and that's it good luck.

Press Clear.
8 Press 1 and when the LCD shows ACCEPTED,
and then close the front cover.

You should find a BLUE SLIDER on top of the Drum Unit, work it back and forth 10 times.

SOURCE: New drum replaced,but machine still ask for new drum

Wow. It's obscure and in the manual on page 13-24. Remove and replace the drum leaving the front cover open. Press CLEAR and then 1 to answser the Replace Drum YES question.
