Did you download the 12625 update from Microsoft and try it from USB? More info please, was the box modded in any way? The update you need is not the latest by far. Download update 2.0.12625.0 here
1 Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.

There is no way to install the games to the xbox's hard drive without modding the console first and without the proper technical knowledge theres high chances you can damage the console beyond use or repair. My advice is to either find the closest most reliable repair/modding shop or to purchase a mod kit online. I hope this offers some assistance. Good luck.

See if you can go to a local library or a friend's house and see if you can get the file onto a flash drive or put it on a file sharing site, I suggest Dropbox, and use it?

you need a mod chip in your xbox to be able to save and play games you can still copy files and stuff to a hard drive without one but its basically the same as saving to your xbox you will still need the disk, you can only get them installed at gaming or electronics stores that do mod chips there arnt alot around you could do it yourself but you have to solder a chip to the circuit board which is more trouble than its worth, also with mod chips if you go on xbox live with a mod chip in your xbox it will block you from going online but that is with xbox 360s im not sure with the old ones

You should be getting an error code on the screen. Depending on that code, you will need to fix it in different ways. If you're getting a hard drive error, you will need to mod the system with a mod chip and replace the hard drive. if it's an other error, you will need to replace the system. The easiest thing it to buy a mod chip. There are many solderless chips out there for under $40. If the lights are flashing yellow and red, then that means the av cable isn't connected.

The benq is a far superior drive over the samsung. Spoofing the drive is also time consuming and there's a big chance on bricking the drive. Frosty's mod tool includes complete detailed instructions on how to do the mod. It's as easy as typing what is already in brackets on the screen. You load the usb drive, coonnect the xbox when it says to, it will them automatically read, mod, erase, and load the new created firmware on the system for you. It's also error proof using a benq drive. One last awesome feature of the program is that you do not need to have the previous firmware backed up to update the firmware, it does it all for you. ASUS will probably not honor the warranty in this situation. And even though the computer worked for a short time after the mods there is a legit possibility that the mods did cause the computer to eventually fail (and during a BIOS Update.) Sorry man. It looks like you bricked your system from that last BIOS update. Your only chance is to remove the EEPROM from the motherboard and replace it with one that has the correct firmware flashed.
