If your Samsung GT-P1000 Galaxy TAB is frozen and unresponsive, press and hold [POWER ] for 8-10 seconds. The device will reboot automatically. If this does not solve the problem, perform a factory data reset. In Menu mode, select Settings ? Privacy ? Factory data reset ? Reset phone ? Erase everything
There is a reset button on the mp3 player. Try pressing it using a paperclick or a pin. After reset try to connect it back to your computer. Hope this helps.

My daughter had a similar problem - she was frozen at the power off screen. On closer inspection, at the bottom of the K3 on the back of the unit is a reset button (you will need a pin or paper clip to reset it). Pushed a pin in for a few seconds, reset, all was OK.
While it's on the SAMSUNG screen, hold down the reset hold for 10 secs until it shuts off. If it doesn't work, try resetting it while it's connected to the PC.
