I am assuming you have checked all screws are tight. Unfortunately a tiny shake in your hand ince travelled the distance of the saw will turn into a large shake by the time it gets to the end. Make sure your holding it correctly and if all else fails it could be a slightly bent bar which is very dangerous to use.

SOURCE: Bad brushes in extending Remenington pole chain saw
You already know Remington(Power) is no longer in production. You may not know all replacement parts are very difficult to find and this brand requires a constant supply of them. I think you are going to invest time and money in a saw that next week will need a part you cannot locate or manufacture.
IMO your time and money will be better spent on a name brand replacement saw. Wen produced a quality product in the past and are again offering electric and petrol chainsaws. If available in your area, a critical examination discloses a quality product, and you are willing to gamble on them remaining in business they are a good alternative. We rarely get questions for McCulloch or Poulan. I do not foresee their stopping production within my life time and should also be considered.
If you have more questions or need additional help please reply below and I will get back to you. HTH & Good Luck.

Thank You for using FixYa.
If you mean the engine is losing power your more than likely have a restriction in the exhaust. The sut from the two stroke mix builds up and restricts the exhaust gases. Hence looses power. Happened to me lots of times
1. Remove battery from chain saw.
2. Separate main handle from chain saw
power head by pressing both release
buttons on main handle and pulling
apart. The release buttons are just in
front of the trigger.
3. Align rib on chain saw power head with
groove in power head adapter on pole.
4. Slide power head into power head
adapter until units "snap" together.
IMPORTANT: Both release
buttons on power head adapter must be
fully engaged.
5. Align rib on handle adapter on pole
with groove in main handle.
6. Slide main handle into handle adapter
until units "snap" together.
IMPORTANT: Both release buttons
on main handle must be fully
engaged.
7. Slide battery onto main handle until
release buttons "snap" together.
Be sure the battery is charged.
To extend the pole:
1. Loosen the clamping
lever. Pole will slide
freely.
2. Pull inner pole section out to desired
length of extension.
3. To lock pole in position, tighten clamping
