You can confirm your Facebook account in any of the following ways:
Follow the link in your sign up confirmation email.
Use the Friend Finder tool to see which of your email contacts have profiles on Facebook. To get to Friend Finder, simply roll over the Friends drop-down menu and click "Find Friends."
Follow the link in any email notification you receive from Facebook.
To confirm your account with your mobile phone, you must be able to receive Facebook's confirmation text on your mobile device. Enter your mobile phone number and we'll text you a special code to confirm that it's your phone. Start by going to the Mobile Texts page.
If you're still having trouble after the above steps, please click here.
What you need to do is contact your local service provider (e.g mine was
Mobilicity) and then tell them that you're having trouble receiving a confirmation code from Facebook. They should be able to fix the problem, because I received my confirmation code right after.
(By the way, you can only use your cell phone number once, because
you're only supposed to have one account, according to Facebook)
You could also use the calling option, and have Facebook call you to send you the verification code.
DON'T use your home phone number for these options, because if you need
to verify your account again, they will automatically text you with the
number you gave them and tell you to type in the confirmation code
Step 1Go online to Facebook's Mobile page.
Step 2Type your email address and Facebook password into
the corresponding text-fields and click "Login" to sign-in to your
Facebook account.
Step 3Scroll down and click "Text a link to my phone." It may take up to five minutes to receive the text message from Facebook.
Step 4Type your Boost Mobile phone number into the text-field and click "Text link to my phone."
Step 5Open the SMS application on your Boost Mobile phone
and open the text message sent to you by Facebook. Click the link
provided in the text message. This link automatically directs your phone
to download the Facebook application. Access the new application by
going to your main apps menu and selecting the Facebook icon.
Get Facebook Mobile on Boost Standard Cellular Handset
Step 1Go online to Facebook's Mobile download page.
Step 2Type your email address and password into the corresponding text-fields and click "Login" to sign-in to your Facebook account.
Step 3Scroll down and click "Sign Up for Facebook Text Messages."
Step 4Select "Boost Mobile" from the drop-down menu and click "Next."
Step 5Activate your Boost cellular handset, open your SMS application and select the option to create a new SMS.
Step 6Address the SMS to "32665" and type "F" in the
message field. Click "Send." Wait a couple of minutes for a reply. The
reply contains a confirmation code.
Step 7Type the confirmation code into text-field and click "Confirm."
Step 8Configure your Facebook Mobile settings according to
your preferences. For instance, if you want to update your Facebook
status with text messages, click the "ON" button bellow "Texts are." If
you want to receive text messages of certain friends' status updates,
type their name in the text-field beside "Whose status updates should go
to my phone." Once you are finished, click "Save Preferences."
Step 9Update your status by typing it into a new text-message and addressing it to "32665."
You can go to the Mobile tab of your Account Settings page to add, remove, or switch phone numbers.
If you already have a mobile number on the account, you can click "Add another phone" to activate another number for Mobile texts, or remove your existing number by clicking "remove" next to the number you wish to remove.
If you have more than one number registered on your account for Mobile Texts, you will have the ability to choose which number you want to send your Mobile Texts to. Simply select the mobile number you want to receive your texts to in the "Send texts to" drop-down menu at the bottom of this page.
If you are trying to not receive sms text from Facebook there are two things you can do.
If you want to remove your phone FULLY from Facebook follow these steps:
1. Go to Facebook and sign in. 2. In top right, click account, then account settings. 3. Click mobile. You should see your phone number. Next to it, it should say "remove." Click this and your phone will no longer be linked to Facebook. You will not get text messages and will not be able to upload photos or status updates.
If you want to keep the ability to upload photos and set status updates then at step 3 above, instead of clicking the mobile link, click the notification link. In the SMS column, uncheck everything. You will no longer get text notifications.
im having the same issue. my facebook SMS messages just stopped one day. my facebook mobile settings were not changed either. i removed my phone from facebook mobile to try and re-add it. to do that, u send a "f" text to 32665 and are supposed to receive a confirmation text back. i havent even received the confirmation...
I had the same problem twice when I changed service on the phone, once when I asked to change from a fixed rate for 200 messages per month to pay-per-use and the second time when I changed phones out with the same number. They just turned off my text messaging and I had to call to have them reactivate it. Help this helps.
