My TV doesn't have any sound.

My TV has picture but there is no sound. How can I fix it?

    This is a Toshiba 32A32 model. My friend had a similar problem with his Sony TV & he replaced a chip on the circuit board & the problem was fixed.

Go into input or source try changing then go into audio and try changing and make sure speakers are on

    How you would fix a black or blank screen on your TV.


  1. Ensure that the power sources for all your devices (TV, digital box, VCR, etc.) are securely connected to your devices and the outlet. If that doesn’t fix it,

  2. Check that your TV is set to the correct input. If that doesn’t fix it,

  3. Unplug the power cord from your digital box, wait for 30 seconds, then plug it in again. Wait until the box has fully powered on again, then see if the picture has returned. If that doesn’t fix it,

  4. If you have an HDMI cable connected to your TV, you could try an HDMI handshake.

My 51pp9100d/37 philips TV doesn't have any sound.
This set has a "small signal board" The board is about 3x5 inches and plugs into board on far left as seen from back of set.

A lot of these fail:

low sound
no sound
intermittant sound
no remote functions
no channel up or down
etc etc

Last time I looked board was around 100 exchange rebuilt

Have you try watching using a DVD player on your t.v if doesn't try watch on it using a DVD player but if still it doesn't have a picture but only sound perhaps there is a problem with your HDTV.
