Just updated iPad 4 and window pops up asking for VPN authentification even though I have it turned off.

You can try the default password or just remove the password. Follow below steps to do that.

Generally, the default passcode can be 1234 or 123456, and the digits rely on the blank number.

Do what you have done but when you go to VPN Configuration you should see a Blue i in a circle tap in on that icon. You should then see the settings for the VPN, at the bottom you will see Delete VPN click on that.

You will have to restore it by connecting to iTunes on your computer. That will erase all settings including the password. If you have a backup you can get it then set up as a new device with a new password.

you'll need to connect to itunes and restore your ipad as new because it has a software bug.. you must not back up when you restore because the bug will not dissappear, you will lose everything though.

If your wi fi will not connect then you need to get that sorted before you are able to get your mail. To do this I suggest turning the iPad off and go and unplug your router - the one connected to your computer from the wall for 5-10 minutes. Go back and plug it back in and that will power cycle it. Once you have done this go back to the iPad - Tap Settings > then Network >tap the wifi button and slide to on > then select your network and you will need your password.

Once you have done all of that you should be able to connect.
