I have a new Midea dishwasher. I had a professional to install it. The salt compartment always gives a light although it's full. Please advise, thank you.

Question edited for clarity, add some punctuation and make some sentences. 'install it', not 'apply it'.

No model stated so guesswork required. Perhaps the light tells you the salt is fine. Read the manual and if it is a 'fill with salt light', contact the seller or the maker because it is new and under warranty.

This says 'low salt'.

Aquarius DWF32 and dealing with water softner

Good idea to check levels yourself, but wear rubber gloves as dishwasher salt will leave your hands very sore, simply remove cover from salt tank, using a wooden spoon handle or similar check salt level and refill if required, replace tank lid, never wait for warning lights, they may never come on, good luck.

Waterside water softener model MC250 Dear Sir, Salt level did not go down during regeneration. I poured 2 pints of warm water to break solidified tablet salt, I found moist salt, but very little water in...

the salt in use should water softener salt and nothing else
there is water added to the salt crystals up to the overflow hole
during regeneration that salty water (Brime) is drawn into the unit and upon finishing the process that reserve is refilled for the next time
there is little salt actually used during the regeneration process ( around 4 regenerations to a 25 kg bad )

White film on glasses. Cannot find solution,

Check water quality. clean the drain filter in the machine. Check spray arm spray jet holes. Clean if clogged.

If you suspect salt chamber try removing all the salt by flushing with water externally. Refill with fresh salt.

Ran out of salt refilled and it is not softening

Don't you get it? Salt is required for the softener to work. Pepper is not a replacement.

Refill salt

There is a white plastic circular screw lid in the bottom of the dishwasher washing unit marked salt. Unscrew this and add as much salt as needed so that you can feel it when you put your finger down the hole. This could be quite a bit, perhaps a kilo.

LG LD-2160 dishwasher

Get an aqua vac and suck out the water (with the dissolved detergent)from the salt container. Refill it with water and repeat the process couple of times. Fill the container with water and salt and it should be fine. Good luck !!
