Replaced lamp. TV worked great. Never reset message code. Finally, tv started cutting off after booting up. Reset lamp code, lights on front went one green. Thought that solved problem.

TV still shows green light on power up. Light is green. Still cuts off after a minute or less on power up. Inspection of lamp still looks brand new after several years after replacement, fan still runs on power up.

After a lamp replacement, you might have to reset the lamp time. It was a must. Contact the authorized service center; as there is no chance to you to get the screen display any further. The service engineers at the service center will do the needy.

If so, the lamp Ballast should be suspected. As a general practice, this ballast too should be replaced along with the Lamp. If the lamp replacement was don at the authorized service center, they won't replace a lamp; without replacing the ballast. More to say, check the voltage to the ballast from the main power supply regulator board. If it is absent, the lamp will not light up. If you're handy; I assume so; check it.

Replaced main bulb in front but lamp button on front of tv is still blinking and tv won't show picture

The lamp timer on the Hitachi projector must be reset whenever the lamp has been replaced. The "Lamp" indicator on the display will light red or the "Change the Lamp" message will display when the lamp timer needs to be reset. Hitachi recommends that the lamp timer never be reset without replacing the lamp and to always reset the timer when the lamp is replaced. The message functions of the projector will not function properly if the lamp timer is not correctly reset.

  • Turn the power on. Press the "Reset" button for three seconds until the "Lamp xxxx hr" message appears on the lamp timer on the bottom of the screen.

  • 2

Press the "Menu" button on the remote control while the lamp timer is displayed.

  • 3

Press the left arrow button. Select "0" and wait until the timer display clears.

I HAVE A MISUBSHI TV MODEL #WD57734. THE TV WENT OUT AND THE LAMP LIGHT CAME ON. i REPLACED THE LAMP AND KNOW THE LAMP LIGHT AND POWER LIGHT ARE BLINKING AND IT WONT TURN ON.

Try resetting the set, there is a reset on the front of the tv where the power button is located, just stick the point of an ink pen it it and it will reset itself, if this does not work make sure the lamp door is secure.

Lamp light blinks 3 times shuts down

The CLS problem. Im thinking that at least you made a visual inspection of the power suply and the capacitors around it. Then if everything normal in the area then the microdisplay (inside the ligth engine) can be damaged. (when the tv is working normally the microdisplay sends a pulse to turn on ballast and lamp finally.

The sweetkyman: when the fan is bad th tv shuts down imm. (if you unplug the fan when the tv is working normal the computer detects the overcurrent system works and shuts down the set) when a fan is all dirty and tons of dust on it the tv tends to work but after some hours the tv shuts down.

    Issues with replacing Ballast

The flash code indicates that the lamp cover is not installed correctly. There are safety switches built into the housing that require the cover be installed correctly for the set to work. If the cover is actually in place correctly, there may be a broken switch. Check for this and update this if you can not resolve the problem.
