I have a Hotpoint R B757 something behind the clock rattles, It's not the clock because I have it off? Could it be the relay or thermostat? Everything works.

This may be a silly answer but you might try to just take out the few screws from behind the top panel where the clock is and see what's loose behind there. Unplug the stove first of course.

Testimonial: "Thank you, I have left up the clock panel & it's coming from relay or the thermostat area."

Why is Hotpoint RLA64T Fridge freezing up after new thermostat fitted?

Make sure that the temp probe from the thermostat is located exactly where the old one was. If it had a plastic sleeve on the old one, the new one will need that sleeve. You shouldn't need to calibrate the control if it is the one specified for this model. If it was a generic replacement then possibly it could need some adjustment.

My Hotpoint FF175B is making a loud buzzing sound from behind the freezer thermostat panel, please help !

Sounds like a sticky relay on the board, but could be an alarm buzzer! Is the freezer working ok?

The GE side by side is roughly 10 years old and when the turbo cool bin is on it makes a rattle noise every 5 mins. like a toy gun sound. I turn it off and it stops. It only happens when the bottom bin...

It's freezer fan hitting with your bin drawer when it's over ice formed behind the freezer. It's due to malfunction of defrosting. Keep 5 degree thermostat setting. And check thermostat by turning counter clock wise. If shuts off the fridge, it's working. If not replace thermostat. Check defrost timer set in proper setting. Once defrost cycle is good, no banging sound will be there. Thanks.

Freezer high temp showing, freezer not working and fridge

Hello,

A freezer is great for storing additional food. If your refrigerator stops working, it's important to be able to troubleshoot it quickly so that food waste is kept to a minimum. Keep the following tips in mind if your refrigerator stops working.
Check the Electricity
If your refrigerator doesn't seem to be working at all, check the outlet that the refrigerator is plugged into. Unplug the refrigerator from the wall and plug something else in such as a lamp or digital clock. If the new appliance doesn't work either, you know the problem is with your outlet and not your refigerator. If the appliance does work, you will need to refer to other troubleshooting methods.
Inspect the Relay
The relay is a component that helps power the compressor. It is housed in a plastic box with the motor terminals and the overload protector and is connected to the Compressor; the relay is the largest component in the box. Closely inspect the relay and make sure it is not burned out. The relay can also be tested using a multimeter. If you see any signs that the relay has shorted out, you'll will need to replace it. If the relay makes a rattling sound when shaken, this is also a sign that it has shorted out.
Examine the Compressor
The compressor is essential to the performance of your Refrigerator. It is the motor that powers the entire cooling system and if your Refrigerator has ceased to work, you need to check it. This unit is located at the back of the Refigerator and sits in plastic housing; it can be identified by its football shape.
You can tell that the compressor is broken if your relay is fine or if you hear a light hum followed by a clicking sound and silence. If your refrigerator is relatively new, it might still be under warranty and you could get a replacement compressor for free. If not, your compressor will need to be replaced by a professional.
Investigate the Thermostat
The fact that your Refrigeratoris not working could be down to the thermostat. This is the unit that regulates the temperature inside the freezer. To test your thermostat, remove the access panel on the side of the Refrigerator. Next, use a screwdriver to remove the actual thermostat from the inside wall but do not disconnect the tube that runs from the unit into the Refrigerator.
Set the range scale on Rx1 on your multimeter to test for continuity. If your multi-tester reads continuity, your Refrigerator problem lies in another spot. If your multi-tester does not read continuity, it means your thermostat is not working and you will need to replace it. Remove the tube from the old thermostat and attach it to the new one. Screw the new unit into place on the Refrigerator wall and make sure the tube is not coiled or kinked as this will prevent the new thermostat from working properly.

Hope this help in solving the problem.....

Aquarius ctd00 no heat, but heater element appears ok

Generally speaking, it is usually the thermostat/s that are the cause of the problem.
These are located on the top above the heater, or behind the heater element
Some models also have a relay that controls the heater, and these can fail.
this is to be found at the top of the dryer behind the console panel.

Tumble dryer not getting hot

Likely to be a thermostat or heater element problem.
These are located at the rear of the dryer, behind a removeable cover, but you will need a test meter to check them out.
Hope this helps.

Timer clock is not illuminated and oven will not work

This does have an internal fuse and there are probably 2 or 3 of them. They should be located right behind the timer or thermostat.

Dryer element not working

Sounds like it could be a faulty heater relay. The relay is located at the top behind the console panel.
It is a clear plastic box with the contacts inside it.
If you have tried everything else, then this what I would go for.
Hope this helps.
Please leave feedback.
