I have a Sony Trintron also - similar model to the

I have a Sony Trintron 36" model is KV also - similar model to the others below and the standby light blinks 9 times when I go to turn on the TV. What is the problem - a blown fuse, relay problem, sensor problem and how much would it be to fix it?

Looks like a horiz.output transistor is shorted.check it...

Standby light flashing twice and tv wont switch back on. tv switched its self like it had gone on to standby and now standby two flash intervals and wont switch back on.

Similar problem. Unplugged for 36 hours and it works

Sony trintron--red lights

The 2 blinks is a diagnostic code that should indicate the problem circuit. This is unique to each model though. Can you confirm that the model in question here is KV-32FS120?

The standby light should be blinking a repeating count with a 2 second pause between counts. Can you post hte count here please? That will help to determine the effected circuit and the solution.
