Refrigerator - Water Filter Indicator Light Will Not Shut Off
After you change the filter the RESET WATER FILTER must be pressed and held until the red light goes off.
Note: If you do not hold the pad in, the light will stay on. Also, if you hold the pad in for a long period of time, the light will go off and then come back on.
If this does not turn the light off, having it checked by a service technician is recommended

First you need to replace your water filter. After you have done that, you will need to reset the water filter indicator light. Some fridges have a reset button, other fridges have a reset "procedure", often times pressing two buttons simultaneously. You didnt give me a brand or model number, so i cannot help you with how, other than to read your owners manual.
