Most likely. It is probably in some kind of protection / "get me repaired at a really high cost" mode, this would explain why you had sound until you restarted it and it ran a brief diagnostic.
I don't think you'll be able to claim this on warranty as it is accidental damage, not a manufacturing error, but you never know! Maybe your home insurance will cover it.
Call Samsung and see what they say, the might be able to repair it for you or quote you the cost of a replacement.
common problem, trouble is that the receiver cant keep up with the dvr box. try this, dont use audio from your dvr into your reciever, take the audio out from the tv, and go into the receiver, now the sound is after the picture and should catch up with itself.
you changed all the eprom info but didn`t "save to ram" before un-plugging ac cord, you will have to call a tech and be sure to advise him what you have done so the tech will be sure to bring service manual, info will have to all be re-entered, video-tek
