Samsung 50'' Plasma TV won't turn on anymore

I have Samsung PS50P91FDX/XSA50" Plasma HDTV. I was watching a DVD when after about 37 mins the TV screen goes blank and I hear about 6 clicks like a relay clicking in and out. The power light goes out to and stays out. The TV won't switch back on. Sometimes after removing the power cord for several minutes and plugging it back in, the TV comes to life again, sometimes not. The TV is just coming up to it's 1st year anniversary. Any thoughts?

The problem was the Power Supply. I had a Technician come out and replace it (under warranty) and all is well again.

If your tv is within the one year warranty period then call 1-800-Samsung for warranty repair. Look at your tv purchase receipt for the Purchase Date. You have one year from the date of purchase to get warranty repair.

My samsung pn50a650t1fxza won't turn on what should I do?

Contact the nearest authorised service center for Samsung at your town. Spare parts to this set will be very difficult to get from open electronic spare markets.

Turn tv on watch it for 20 mins. screen shuts off but green power light is still on. turn it off manualy wait a few mins. turn back on watch for anouther 20 mins or so then screen shuts off again

The reasion your set is shutting off is because the power supply is dieding, and you need to replace the electrolytic caps on the power supply, or purchase a new one, go to www.partstore.com sand check to see if they have your power supply.

I can't get rid of the captions on the 50 inch LG TV

My Lg was doing the same thing. Every movie we watched had subtitles running at the bottom of the screen. The button was at the bottom of the remote. Once we pressed it, it came up on the screen saying CC/OFF. Also had this happen on same TV with DVD player and had to turn it off with the DVD remote. Subtitles OFF/ON

Samsung Plasma 42" TV - 2006

Hi, this is quite a common problem for plasma screens and LCD screens. The fluroscent backlight is more than likely faulty and would need replacing. The best thing to do is to take it to a service centre because there are no user servicable parts inside the plasma.

New Samsung Plasma HDTV

That is what is called BURN IN or as the manufactures call it "IMAGE RETENTION". Basicly what this means it that you have been putting more hours on the part that is darker the smaller part, or the 4x3 picture or the square part. And, basicly the part that appears to be lighter is "LESS" worn out than the other part of the plasma tv. There is no fix for the problem, But if you go into the menu and select "BURN-IN" OR "Pattern sweep" or WHITE Screen than you will see exactly what i mean. Now, you can keep it on this pattern overnight if you would like, but i suspect it will not cure the problem, but lessen the effects of it. But keep in mind, you are reducing the life of the complete panel when you do this. Not that it is bad to do this. If you have anymore questions don't hesitate to ask anymore questions. The better fix is to Switch over to the "Dish Network and than you can format the screen on any channel in any mode. Superior product to cable. Have a great day. And watch out for the snow storm coming. GURU JAY

Vertical Lines all over then starts to move lines back and forth

you should first check all the cables inside the set to make sure they all are seated properly, check some other sources like a dvd player and see if it does it on a dvd, after that it is probably a defective main board
