Mine does this too from time to time. I just turn it off then turn it back on, and it works every time.
My problem (more detailed):
I can make a call, but when I see it is connected I can't hear anything, not even static. The same with whoever is on the other line. Also my phone won't play music or ringtones, or even vibrate.
Resetting works every time!

my phone ringtone is low if the ringvolume in highstage
can't hear incoming call nor can they hear me, and speakerphone doesn't show up either.
