How to Fix a GE Oven Showing Error F2

If you have a GE oven, the error code F2 on the oven means that the temperature sensor has detected a temperature in excess of the preset threshold.

Per the tech sheets (page 8), "F2" error code means "Keyboard failure". Recommended by the manufacturer to replace the touch panel first and, if it would not solve the problem, then the control board has to be replaced too. Not the best recommendation but we have to follow it.

- The part number for the touch panel (aka a membrane switch) is AP3130765

- The part number for the control board AP3130764

Going through all the comments mentioned above it seems that all of you have the same problem. Your appliance Control board is not working. Either try finding a new board or get it repaired.

To find a new replacement part/ part repair service. I would suggest www.partsimple.com part prices low compare to other competitors as well fast shipping.

F2 is a drain error in your washer, if the unit is unable to drain then after 4 minutes it will display F2. The first thing that should be done is cleaning the drain hose and the drain pump filter, you can take out three torx screws from the bottom front panel and then clean the area completely, lift up the cap to clean the filter. If the error returns then check the drain pump if it is not working then replacing the pump is recommended repair.

If you have a Whirlpool oven, the F2 E6 error means that the Cancel key line is open. You will need to replace the keypad or the keypad and controller board (if a single assembly) if the keypad doesn't respond to a press of the Cancel Key.

Maybe you dont have to remove anything else.. try the rotor from the bottom drawer first. If this works just buy a new rotor..

f2 means the unit is draining to slow...you need to clean your pump filter...if you need help with that post to onthejob
