How do I change silent from on to off so phone rings when I get a call?

On the D1680, D1481, and similar phones,
the three levels of ringer loudness plus
"off " are set at the base using the same
[ - ] Volume [ + ] buttons used to adjust
the answering machine message volume.

Pushing the [ + ] and [ - ] keys will
set the ringer to be louder or softer. A
number in the "message counter display"
will report the relative loudness...pushing
[ - ] below level-1 loudness will show
"0" loudness and an announcement of
"Ringer off" will be spoken. From here,
a single push of [ + ] will turn the ringer
on to level-1 and play a ~10 second
sample of the ringer at that volume:
while it is playing the sample ring,
subsequent pushes of [ + ] or [ - ]
will toggle the loudness levels of
( off, 1, 2, 3 ).

Good luck!

I dont have a real problem with my cabrio but was wondering if there is a way to turn off the sound settings or at least turn the volume of them down? I have small children and although the laundry room is...

According to the User's Manual, just below and to the right of the "Start" button there is a small button labelled "Cycle Signal" that adjust the signal from "Loud" to "Soft", to "Off". If the signal is bothering your kids, it's probably set for "Loud", so push that button once to change the signal to "Soft". If that's still too loud, push that button again to turn the signal off entirely. Hope that helps!

My philips srp5107wm/17 only changes the volume on my tv no matter what device i have it set on

The Philips remote is set to "push trough" the volume/mute to the TV for devices that typically don't have a volume function. Older versions of Philips remote used to allow you to select the device to push volume to, but for some reason this is no longer available (or at least I haven't found out how to). So here is the solution I used.

Teach (learning function) the remote to use whatever device you like for volume/mute.

1, Press the button for the device you would like to change
2. Hold down "learn" and the button you want to teach ex. "volume up" until the red light comes on
3. Place the original remote of the device you would like to change the volume on 5-10 cm away from your Philips remote and press "volume up" for this example
4. Repeat these steps for the "volume down" and "mute" buttons
5. Repeat these steps for other devices you would like to "push through" volume/mute to a device other than TV

Hope this helps others. I did find that some devices like SAT may not allow you to change the volume/mute, but otherwise this workaround does the trick.

Need code to use for the tivo remote

Hello,

Push the TiVo button on the remote. Then push "Messages and Settings," followed by "Settings," and finally press "Remote Control." This will show you the three areas of the remote that are programmable. "TV Power, Volume and Mute," is one section. "AV Volume and Mute," is the second section. The final section is "TV Input."

Pick "TV Power, Volume, and Mute" by pushing right on the direction pad of the remote. This will open up a list of all the brand names of TV that exist. You will find most TV brands will be there.

Find your brand of television and select that option. If your brand is not there, simply go to the TiVo webpage and under "Setup and Support" you will find others who have experience this issue. There you will find a code for your TV. This happens sometimes when the TV is a lesser known brand.

Hold down the button you are programming (i.e. TV Power) for 5 seconds until the red light on top stays on. Then enter one of the codes on the screen.

Push the newly programmable button to test its functionality. If it does not work, repeat the steps with all the possible codes available. One of the codes will work.

Push "Live TV" at this point to watch television.

Use the manual which came with your TiVo in addition to this guide. In the front of the booklet will be a starter guide, which will lead you through the steps necessary to set up your remote for optimum use.

Motorola cell phone sound problems W315

On the left side of the phone are two button: A rocker button and a push button. With the flip CLOSED, push the rocker button down. you will see Style:Silent. Push the other button until Style:Loud comes up. Push the rocker button down again to exit the function. Open the Flip and use the rocker button to set the Ringer volume. You can set the ringer volume however you want for each style. My phone swiches by itself constantly when I put it in my jeans pocket, very annoying.
