I purchased new tires for my 2008 Kia Spectra in October. During the installation of the new tires my TPMS was broken on one of the tires. My mechanic purchased and installed a new TPMS for the broken one. The TPMS light will not go off. HELP!

The TPMS has to be reprogrammed to see the new unit in the tire. There is a special tool that does that and KIA is a car brand that has a proprietary system. Take it to a dealer and have it done and no it is not free. Take the bill for that to the tire company and see if they will pay you back.

Tpms light is on have a 2008 kia sportage

TPMS is the tire pressure monitoring system. This is usually because one of your tires is low.
Here is what KIA says about it:
Once the low pressure tire is reinflamed to the recommended pressure and installed on the vehicle, the TPMS malfunction indicator and the low tire pressure telltale will be extinguished. If the low pressure and TPMS malfunction indicators are not extinguished after about 20 minutes of continuos driving, please visit an authorized KIA Dealer.

If you have to bring it to the dealer, they will most likely have to replace one of the tire pressure sensors.

Thanks for asking and good luck!

After replacing a broken tire pressure sensor the tpms light came on. How do I reset it or turn it off? 2006 Kia Sportage.

The 2006 tire pressure monitoring system will automatically reset after driving approximately 20minutes above 20MPH. It is important to note that if you go below 20MPH during this diagnostic drive cycle the counter in the TPMS module wil reset requiring you to start over. The easiest thing to do is go on a highway. If after this drive cycle the TPMS warning light is still in you most likely have another problem in the system with a code stored in the module.

Disable tpms

I don't know if there is a problem with your TPMS receiver (on dash board), or your TPMS sensor is disable (in four tire). If it's the receiver problem, You have to go to the dealer ship to solve the problem. If it's the sensor problem. You can go to the dealer ship to let them find which sensor or sensors are fault, And replace them by the new one then doing the reset process.

TPMS Tire Pressure Monitoring System

Check ALL including the spare tire for proper air pressure. If all is well then check the fuse for the TPMS module. If all is well there, off to the dealer you may have to go.

Low tire 2007 Kia spectra

You can plug any tire as long as it's on the tread face, not in the sidewall. The repair person will know. It makes no difference whether you have TPMS.

How do i reset the tire pressure warning on a 2008 kia spectra

Your tire pressure is monitored by a device known as a TPMS sensor.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System is an integral part of your tire that tends to wear with age.

You need to take your vehicle to a reliable shop (I recommend Discount Tire) to have the TPMS sensor in the defective tire replaced. It's simple, and inexpensive.

I have used Discount Tire's services for almost 20 years, and have never been disappointed with their service.
