The internals of the generator have to be removed and you'll need a gear puller to seperate the engine from the generator housing because they're pressed together. It can be a pain in the neck. There's videos on you tube on how to do it
Why would you isolate the N and G? If you are using it to supply a home then they should be, if tied in permanently. But only on a 2 pole ATS. The gen ground and building ground must be common, or you will loose the fault path. I would NOT recommend you use this generator in that way.
If you have a Yanmar engine... There is a hose that is connected to the oil pan in place of the drain plug directly under the oil filter that will have an end cap. This hose is used to drain the oil into a waste container. Download the service manual located at the address below and follow the instructions in the manual. http://www.martindiesel.com/Documents/New%20TNV%20DIRECT%20Service.pdf Hope this helps.
Here's a link to the head torque specs of all engines. The Yanmar 6HAL DTN should be there as well. Scroll towards the bottom of the page to view the information you need. http://www.aera.org/downloads/Torque3.pdf
