SOURCE: Bernina 1008 feed dog problem.

Your machine needs oiling. The feeddogs are stuck. Could be in several places. You would have to remove the back and side covers to get to what needs cleaning and oiling. Especially behind that knob. Just removing the covers is a job so I can't recommend you do this unless your trained. But you can try. Don't forget the screws beneith the machine. But really, there is too much behind the handwheel for a novice to deal with. Maybe see if you can just let some sewing machine oil just run down behind the feedog knob and work it alot.
Good luck.

SOURCE: Is there a way to lower the feed dogs ''a little''?

I thought this was free . . . didn't know I'd be asking to join. So, I called the shop where I purchased the machine. They were able to help me fix the problem.

Can the feed dogs be lowered on LS2300 PJR

You are not able to lower the feed dogs on this machine. Instead of lowering the feed dogs, use the darning plate on the machine to cover the feed dogs so they will not move the fabric.

Janome 3050 feed dogs wont come back up

Dropping the Feed Dog
The feed dog can be lowered with the drop-feed lever for sewing on buttons etc.
  • Shift the drop-feed lever to the right to lower the feed dog.
  • Shift the lever to the left to raise the feed dog, it will return to the up position when the machine is started.

NOTE:The feed dog should be in the up position for regular sewing. Turn the handwheel toward you to check if the feed dog comes up after setting the lever in the up position

I purchase a free motion feet but it says to do so you have to lower the feed dog does the 7422 have a button to lower the feed dog and where it is located because i could not find onew can i do free...

You don't actually have to lower your feed dogs, lots of people FMQ without lowering, or you can tap a small piece of heavy paper (like an index card) over your dogs and poke a hole in the paper for your needle to go through which effectively takes the feed dogs out of commission too.

Try raising and lowering the feed dogs a couple times there may be something in there that's tripping the sensor.

My Bernina 180 will not feed when I use a twin needle on knit fabric.

are you using a stretch twin needle; without one you'll get skipped stitches. However, the feed sounds more like a feed dog issue. Have you lowered the feed dogs for any reason? Will it sew on a woven cotton okay? If yes, but not feeding the knit then you could try turning up the presser foot pressure and see if that helps with the feed.

If you look across the needle plate with the presser foot removed and manually turn it through a stitch sequence, can you see the feed dogs coming up above the needle plate??

Bernina 1130 feed dogs won't feed fabric

On a Bernina 1130 the power on-off knob and the feed dog raise and lower knob look similar and are next to each other on the end of the machine, making it easy to lower the dog assembly entirely, without realizing it. Make sure you didn't accidentally lower the entire feed dog assembly by turning the feed dog knob: you can tell as you turn it if the dogs are up or down. On the Bernina 1130 the knob, like the power should be in the horizontal position to be working both feed and power.

Dropping Feed dogs on kenmore model 19233

Remove extension table/accessory box by gentle pulling it away from machine. You are left with just the free arm. In the back of the free arm, lower left corner, you will fine the feed dog lever. Push the leaver to the right to lower the feed dog.Instructions for lowering and raising the feed dog are on page 48 of your owner's manual. Good luck!
