Printer does not complete print run

Nothing I can't find an answer but is it likely to be hardware or software

The printer prints one or two pages successfully and then stops as it it has finished the run. So lets say I want 5 pages printed I wil only get the first two and then nothing, not even a text bos message to say there is a problem.

HOW TO FIX SCANNER ERROR 52 HP LASERJET M1212NF

Possible that a reset might help. It is worth trying to re-install.Shut down PC system and restart with the printer removed , then install the driver software and on completion connect the printer-hardware- to be installed.Test and see if it works or else you might need help from HP support.Check this link : http://www8.hp.com/uk/en/support-drivers.html

I just moved apartments, reset up my printer/computer, now computer is not acknowledging the printer. When I try to print it will say "connecting, 78% completed) and then nothing actually comes out.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR PRINTER SET ON DEFAULT AND THAT IT IS INSTALLED PROPERLY! OR YOU CAN ALSO TRY...UNHOOKING YOUR PRINTER, SHUT DOWN YOUR COMPUTER AND HOOK YOUR PRINTER BACK UP BEFORE RESTARTING TO LET YOUR COMPUTER INSTALL YOUR PRINTER.

IF YOUR COMPUTER DOESN'T RECOGINIZE NEW HARDWARE, SUCH AS YOUR PRINTER, THAN IT IS NOT SET AS YOUR DEFAULT PRINTER!

YOUR SOFTWARE MAY NEED TO BE CORRECTLY INSTALLED, MAKE SURE YOUR PRINTER IS NOT HOOKED UP WHEN INSTALLING SOFTWARE.

SOFTWARE HAS BE INSTALLED FIRST, AND RECOGNIZED...THEN RESTART COMPUTER WITH PRINTER (HARDWARE) HOOKED UP!

[email protected] z705 is 3yrs old and takes print command ,goes through the print mode but nothing on paper.refilled black cartridge but still nothing on paper?cartridge blots ink on paper...

It could be a cartridge, hardware or a software problem. Try to print a hardware test page on the printer. Please follow the steps in this article from the Lexmark website How to Perform the Hardware Test on the Lexmark Z705 Photo Jetprinter. This is a good way to start the troubleshooting. Keep me updated. Thanks.

I replace aftermarket ink now my printer won't print.

Please forgive me for this answer, but most printer vendors protect their products by blocking the use of third party cartridges.
Please get factory new cartridges and you should be fine.

When printing message says x2650 cannot communicate with computer

It seems there is a possibility of a problem with the printer itself, or perhaps the cartridges. You should first self-test the printer. Since we are unsure where the problem exists, we must do eliminative troubleshooting to rule out parts of the printing system. The self-test allows us to rule out software and the cable by testing the hardware by itself. Please note that this is not a "fix," but rather a diagnostic test to determine if your hardware is at fault.

Next, try this printer self-test by following the steps given below:

1. Please turn OFF the printer.
2. Press and hold the "Color copy" button.
3. Now, turn ON the printer.
4. Once you see "0" on the display, release the "Color copy" button.
5. Press the Up arrow button until "2"appears on the display.
6. Press the "Black copy" button to start the self test. Once the page has printed, the printer will stop printing.

The self-test should at least print out a set of either black or color bars, if not both (if you have a printer with both color and black installed simultaneously). Should this test fail, try it again without cartridges installed. If the self-test still fails to take paper in and make sounds like the carrier is moving across the paper, this is a hardware issue, and the printer will require service. If the self-test completes without any cartridges installed, run the self-test again with the color cartridge installed by itself. (If you have both black and color cartridges, after this test, run the test again with just the black cartridge installed.) If you find that either cartridge causes the self-test to fail, please let us know.
If the self-test prints, but has lines or smudges or other print quality issues, let us know. This includes any print quality issues, we need to know if the problems you have with your black or color are based in the printer, or communications with your computer, or the computer's software.

If the self-test prints your test bar(s) clearly, the printer hardware is not at fault. The issue may be a communication problem, or perhaps a software conflict.

However, please let me know the windows operating system installed on the computer. This information is required for us to troubleshoot the issue further.

Please let us know the name and version of the operating system (Windows XP / 2K / NT, Windows Vista, Mac) that you are using on your computer. This information is important for us to troubleshoot the issue further.

Paper problem with my Canon writer

Hi

Kindly the check the roller (paper loader) if there is something stuck in that . Then this is not the problem of software , its simply a hardware issue you need to contact Canon people as the printer should be under warranty . You can contact them at the following link :

BLANK paper

Hi ankita, this will update your printer drivers:

Create a new folder on your desktop and name it newhpdrivers(substitute your manufacturer in new name). Un-intall printer and printer software completely. Go to manufacturers website and navigate to their drivers/downloads or support menu. Select your model, choose the relevant software and download to the new folder you created on your desktop. Power down your computer. Reconnect the printer to the computer and turn printer on. Power on pc. Windows will detect new hardware and ask if you have the manufacturers install cd or a location to check for install files. Direct the wizard to your new software, follow the rest of the setup instructions and your done.

It wont print

Hi,

I don't know why it is, but, so many of the printer problems I answer have to do with original install cd being corrupted(it may have to with mass production process) anyway, you can try this:
