If you used the internal memory even once, the memory card will not work until you get rid of whatever is in the internal memory. Do this...with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, your card should work properly.
I copied this from Kodak website Good Luck! How do I transfer pictures from the internal memory of my KODAK Digital Camera to a memory card? Follow these steps:
On the camera, press Review and then Menu. Select Image Storage. Change to Internal Memory. In the menu listing, scroll down to Copy, and select OK. Select a single picture, or select All. When you have finished copying pictures, reset the Image Storage location to your original setting. NOTE: You can also use a card reader to transfer picture files to a memory card. For more information on card readers and memory cards, go to KODAK Memory Cards
You can copy pictures from the internal memory to a memory card.
Insert a memory card. Make sure the camera's image storage location is set to internal memory (press the Menu button, use left/right to select Setup, up/down to select "Image Storage"). Press the Review button, then the Menu button. Use up/down to select "Copy," then press OK.
To delete all pictures from internal memory, select "Format" from the Setup menu.
Your internal memory is separate from your memory card. Think of it as two folders, the internal memory cannot be removed, and the memory card is one you can take with you. You can put new memory cards in it all day, the internal memory will still have pictures in it. You may wish to consider copying all internal memory to the memory card. To do this, make sure your camera has a memory card in it. View pictures on your internal memory, then from the menu option select 'copy all images to external memory.' In doing this, all of your photos will be moved, you can then clean out your internal memory by deleting everything/formatting it. :)
"internal memory card is full" There is no more space in the camera's internal memory. Your camera has 16 MB of internal memory. The number of pictures you can store depends on the Picture Size setting you have selected on your camera. The following are approximate number of pictures you can take at each setting: 4.0 MP: 16 pictures 3.1 MP: 18 pictures 2.8 MP: 20 pictures 2.1 MP: 29 pictures 1.1 MP: 48 pictures Internal Memory?the camera always uses internal memory, even if a card is installed. Auto (default)?the camera uses the card if one is in the camera. If not, the camera uses internal memory Image Storage Choose a storage location for pictures and videos. To correct the issue your getting follow this steps: 1.Press the Menu button. 2.Press to highlight the setting you wish to change, then press the OK button. - The settings you need to look for is Image Storage 3.Choose an option, then press the OK button. - The option you need to choose is Auto the camera uses the card if one is in the camera. 4.Press the Menu button to exit.
No Problem,
Check this Manual and refer to Formatting internal memory or an SD or MMC Cards. You have to choose "Image storage" to "Internal" from the settings menu (Read the Manual). And there will be images there, delete them and then make the storage back to "Auto". The camera writes quickly to internal memory, so even after you've filled the buffer (it holds four 3.1-megapixel shots), you can snap one more picture in just a few seconds. I think you have set the "image storage" to internal. If you take a picture the memory reading should go down one shot-if it doesnt it is because your photos are on the internal memory instead of on auto or memory card. If you take out the card then try to view the pictures hopefully you will now see them. Eventually if this is the problem you will get a notice telling you that "internal memory is now full£.
i recently added a new memory card to my camera,i have selected auto in image storage under menu button my internal memory says full and i have deleted all memory and internal memory pic and it still says full internal memory and won`t let me take any pics, what can i do on this matter?
Go into review, and then menu. Go to image storage and then set "auto" or memory card. You may have it set to store your images in the internal memory.
You can add memory to your camera by purchasing an xd memory card.

There are two ways to record the pictures you take with this camera.
Recording pictures to the internal memory
• Pictures are recorded to the internal memory, and when the number of storable still
pictures reaches 0, you must connect the camera to a computer to download the
pictures, and then erase the pictures from the internal memory.
Using an xD-Picture Card (optional)
• Pictures are recorded to the card when inserted in the camera. When the card is
full, you download the pictures to a computer, and then either erase the pictures
from the card or use a new card.
• Pictures are not recorded to the internal memory when a card is inserted in the
camera. Pictures in the internal memory can be copied to the card using the
[BACKUP] function.
