The unit starts the wash cycle and after about 30 seconds stops and flashes f06 ... doesn't spin at all.
"F06" is a Motor Speed error code. This could indicate a problem with the drive motor, motor control unit (MCU), interconnecting wiring, or the tachometer (part of the MCU). The following link explains:

I would begin by checking all the wiring and connector plugs between the MCU and drive motor. Vibration from the washer can cause the connectors to come loose. Also check them for any signs of corrosion that may be causing poor contact.
Measure the motor windings to see if they are still within specs. Bad motor windings could generate the error code as well.
