Hi, If you make copy and black ink works fine, it will be software issue. if black doesn't work on copy either, then print head is dried up and need to be replaced or at least to be cleaned. You can wet paper towel with rubbing alcohol and dab the print head to see you can the ink flow again. Hope this help. Thanks

Are all the tubes lighting up? they should glow like dim light bulbs. If not, replace them with the same model type (12ax7, or EL34 for example).

Often there are two fuses, one to protect the speaker and another to protect everything, it sounds like the latter fuse may be burned out. take it out and take it to radio Shack for exact replacement.

HP Laserjet 2100. When I turn it on, the orange light settles as constant and nothing will print.

None of the above worked for me. There had been a paper jam, but I had cleared it. Orange "attention light" kept blinking. Unplugged the printer for about 15 seconds, replugged it in, and the error cleared.

Your cartridge has something wrong with its electronics. There is no way to "fix" this problem. The reason you could print a calibration sheet is because the printer does not need an electrically functioning cartridge to print this test page. You need to purchase an ink cartridge that has good electronics on it. It doesn't matter if you get a refill or original manufacturer cartridge.

Blinking red light, unable to turn off or print

From the looks of your printer. I'd say that one of your ink has a problem. The part where you put the cartridge in, is where your problem lies. YOu'll prob need to get it checked out by an HP dealer.

try changing the ink cartridge and see if that helps.

Have you reset the ink cartrige?  Have you unplugged it and replugged it? Are there any flashing lights on the printer? Did you recently add software or had a windows update? Unistall and reinstall the driver.
