Brilliant! Thank you. So much easier than trying to find that door-release catch inside the machine.

SOURCE: Door Locked and Won't Open

FO2 is the code for long drain. Your filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 screws. The panel will drop and come off. The filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a bunch of towels and unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in.
1. Press the Chime and Delay Start pads at the same time for
three seconds.
2. The Child Lock light will illuminate.
3. To unlock, press the Chime and Delay Start pads at the same time for three seconds. The Child Lock light will go out.

If above 3 dont work try 'end of cycle' button for 3 seconds.

SOURCE: Kenmore Elite HE3t, door is locked and will not open

You may have to use the manual release to open your door. The following link explains how:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r622155-kenmore_elite_whirlpool_duet_door_jammed

Your washer may have experienced a momentary program glitch which can cause interruptions in operation. Sometimes resetting the Central Control Unit (CCU) will coreect these problems. To reset, you have to unplug the washer for AT LEAST 30 minutes. If the problem reoccurs after a CCU reset, then you have a legitimate problem. Take note of any symptoms and/or error codes that may be displayed. If these procedures do not correct your problem, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: got an f 02 message,

Hi,

F01 refers to Long Drain Error.

Reason -

Long Drain

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and "F/02" is flashed.

NOTE: After 4 minutes the "Sud" error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.

What Needs to be Done -

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

* Check the drain hose
and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
* Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
* Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
* If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump.

Hope i helped you.

Manually Unlocking the Door Lock System
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Remove the lower kick panel. 3. Reach up along the inside of the front and locate the bottom of the door switch/lock unit. 4. Located on the bottom of the door switch/lock unit is a tear-drop shaped tab. 5. Gently pull the tab down about a ¼" or until a click is heard. 6. The door may be opened.

SOURCE: Kenmore HE4t washer door will not open,

"F11" is a Serial Communications error between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and Motor Control Unit (MCU). The CCU is the main computer for the washer and is located directly behind the wash tub. The MCU is the Drive Motor Control board and is located in the rear of the washer adjacent to the Drive Motor on the left-hand side (facing from the rear with the back panel removed). The wiring harness can also cause the error, but it is not as common a problem.

Whirlpool is the manufacturer of both model washers and recommends the following troubleshooting advice. Remove the top panel of the washer by removing the three screws holding it in place in the rear. Once the screws are removed, the panel slides back, then off. Remove the rear panel of the washer for access to the drive motor and MCU. Now check the following:

- Check the wire harness connections between the CCU, the MCU and Drive Motor. Make sure all connections are attached and making good contact. Check for any broken wires or connector pins.
- Check the Drive Motor to see if it free spins and that the belt is still attached and not slipping. If the motor is seized, replace it. If the belt is broken or worn, replace it as well.
- Check the MCU. Connector 1 is the Serial Communications Link between the MCU and CCU. Connector 2 is the connector to the drive motor. Resistance checks across pins 1, 2, & 3 are the motor windings. Connector 3 is the power supply - 120VAC should be read across pins 1 and 2 with the door in the locked position. NOTE: The connectors are read 1, 2, and 3 from the bottom to the top with the MCU installed.
- Check the CCU. Verify connectors 7 and 11 are properly installed. Facing from the front of the washer, connector 7 is the 4th connector from the RIGHT along the front. This is MCU Power. Connector 11 is the Serial Communications link from the CCU to the MCU and is located along the left hand side of the CCU (the connectors are numbered 11 through 14 back to front).
- Check the Drive Motor. Remove the connector and perform resistance checks on the motor connector pins. Readings across pins 1 to 2, 2 to 3 and 1 to 3 should read 6 ohms.

In most cases this is an indication of a failed CCU. This is an easy repair that the average do-it-yourselfer can accomplish on their own. If the washer is still under a warranty, parts and labor would be covered. With no warranty, a replacement parts will vary in price depending on where you get them. There are several good websites available that you can order parts on line and have shipped directly to you.

NOTE: Remove all the connectors from the CCU ONE AT A TIME and reconnect to see if the error code goes away BEFORE you decide to purchase a new one. It is not common, but sometimes a flaky connection can generate error codes.

unplug it,remove the top lid or if it has a bottom panel that comes off either way stick your hand down to where the door lock is,on the bottom of the door lock there's a round release, pull it down and the door will unlock, next time send the model number, also you can try unplugging it for like 5 minutes, plug it back in and the door might open but if it doesn't unplug it again and feel around at the bottom of the door lock assy. pull down on the bottom ring and it will manually open the door.

DOOR LOCKED FLASHING CONTROL PANEL WONT WORK

Hi

To unlock the oven turn off the oven and unplug it for 10-20 minutes. Let the oven cool and plug it back and check. If the oven door doesn't unlock then start the self clean cycle again and cancel the cycle after 15 minutes. Now let the oven cool down and try to unlock the door. If it still doesn't open then unplug the oven and you have to open the control panel and remove the door lock. Remove the three screws from the bottom of the control panel. You'll heed a 1/4" open wrench. Pull the bottom of the control panel toward yourself and push it up to release from the upper tabs. The door lock is secured by the three screws. Hope this helps...

97 Ford Explorer back doors won't open

A common problem with these are that the power door lock actuator freezes, and wont let the door unlock all the way,or the latch rusts up and again wont let door open, see if the lock arm is going up and down all the way, if not then try grabbing the lock with pliers and pulling up and then opening the door, or pull and push a few times then try to open the door, good luck.

I have an HE3t and can't get the door to open. I have tried rewashing the load that is in there, and I have set and unset the lock. What's going on?

Try unplugging the washer for 10 minutes, plugging it back in and test to see if the door will unlock. If it doesn't then you have a bad door lock mechanism or contol board or both. You usually can manually unlock the door by removing the bottom front panel, with the washer unplugged, and reaching up into the door lock mechanism. There is a tab or ring on the bottom that you pull to release the door. Open the door and look for broken plastic pieces on the door strike or in the latch on the mechanism. Usually you won't see anything. If no broken pieces then remove the top panel, washer unplugged, and find the ccu. This is the main control board located in the back center of the machine. Check for loose connections at the ccu and for broken wires. Jiggle and push the wiring connectors into the ccu to make sure they are tight. Plug washer in and test to see if it started working. We have had a lot of repairs with this ccu unit as the relays on the board have a bad weld that gives an intermittent connection, causing this repair. If the washer works by plugging these connectors in tight then put it back together and use it. If it fails again then replace the ccu. In some instances the door lock mechanism can be bad. Unfortunately there is no good test for this. To replace the lock mechanism, you remove the top panel,(washer unplugged). Open the door, remove the three screws that hold the lock mechanism to the cabinet, unplug the 3 to 4 wiring plugs from the lock mechanism and install the new assembly. My oven is locked and wont open. it is cold and wont unlock

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The locking of the oven is a safety measure while self clean function is activated. Once the oven has completed the cycle & has cooled down, then it will reset the door lock.

If a self clean oven door lock fails to open after the self clean cycle and sufficient cooling time has elapsed (approximately 1 hour), there are several things you can try.
  1. Unplug the unit or shut off the circuit breaker for 5 minutes. Plug the unit back in or turn on the circuit breaker. Set the clock and gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.
  2. Set the self-clean cycle again and only allow it to work for 15 minutes. Cancel the self-clean cycle and allow the oven to cool. Gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.
If these procedures fail to correct the condition or you were not using the self clean cycle, then, the lock must usually be accessed and moved manually to open the door—

In order to open the door you have to open the control panel and remove the door lock.

Remove the three screws from the bottom of the control panel. You'll heed a 1/4" open wrench. Pull the bottom of the control panel toward yourself and push it up to release from the upper tabs.
The door lock is secured by the three screws.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.
