I bought and downloaded a book and it says cannot open file what can I do

If the Mp3 player has connected successfully with your computer the icon for it should appear in the "My Computer" list. Some people would open the page with the book file as well and drag and drop the file into the Mp3 player.

The connected Mp3 player should also appear in the right-click sub-menu so right-clicking on the book file should provide a "Send To" option and by left-clicking on the Mp3 player the file should download to it.

Check if the downloaded file is corrupted or if you are using the correct e-book reader.

Make sure eBook file are right format for your eBook reader app.
If yes- then open eBook reader app first, then find file and open it.

I am assuming you downloaded an audio book (an MP3 file), in which case you have to open any media/audio player app that you have installed on your Nextbook and it will find that file for you.

talk to customer service for KOBO. You may have bought a book in the wrong format for you reader. Also contact the place you bought the book from for a refund.

Step 1. Go to Google.com
Step 2. type in the title of the book, give a space and then add filetype:pdf
e.g: "The Science of getting rich filetype:pdf"
Note: Without the quotation marks

The audible file is only for books bought from audible.com. The library books will go into your music folder and be found under albums or artist on Creative players.

One additional tip, you have to get the license to play the library book on your computer and then start playing it on the computer (just the first few words) before transferring the book onto your player. The book has to get the license and be started or it won't play on the player. Something that caused no end of frustration before I figured it out!

Yours can still be recognized but Windows consider it non-formatted. First try a data recovery software and another storage medium where you can copy the files if you're successful in the recovery.
