You need a computer. You need to transfer the photos from the camera to the PC via the Interface Cable IFC-400PCU and the power shot software that came on the cd. You may be able to get a card reader device and plug the memory card from the camera in the correct memory card slot of the card reader and then browse the photos via the upload photos browse in facebook on the computer.

With a card reader, you can move all the photos from your digital camera to computer. After that, you can take advantage of iTunes to transfer photos to your iPad. This should be easy, but please note that the RAW files takes much more storage space than the JPEG files, so you'd better take a look at your storage space of your iPad before you import photos from camera to iPad.

Just connected the camera at pc and search as external device... or use one external card reader in order to connected your SD Card at pc.

First of all, if you've edited the pictures in any way (opening a picture in a photo editing program and then saving it without making any changes counts as editing) then the camera most likely won't be able to display the images.

You can transfer files (not just pictures) to the memory card using a card reader. Plug the card into the reader and it will appear to your computer as another hard drive. Simply drag-n-drop files to it the same way you copy other files on your computer.

Follow the steps to transfer pics from your computer to your iPad:
Step 1: Connect your iPad to your computer using the USB data cable that came with your iPad.
Download Install and run iTunes and select your iPad device from left panel under "Devices" section.
Step 2: Click on Photos tab, Check the "Sync Photos from" checkbox and select "Choose Folder..." option from drop-down menu. Locate the folder with the photos you want to transfer on your computer and hit "Select Folder" button.
Step 3: When folder listed in iTunes, select all pictures that you want to copy to your iPad and hit Sync/Apply button from bottom right corner.

You'd better change a new memory card that doesn't have a problem to check whether it is matter of Canon PowerShot A480,or use another well camera to check if it is error of your memory card.
