The error message "error occurred 5B00" on a Canon MX320 printer typically indicates a problem with the waste ink absorber. The waste ink absorber is a component in the printer that absorbs excess ink that is expelled during cleaning and other maintenance operations. When the waste ink absorber becomes full, it can cause this error to occur.
Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
Reset the printer: You can reset the printer by unplugging it from the power source, waiting a few minutes, and then plugging it back in.
Service mode: You can enter the service mode by pressing the "Menu" button, then "Copying", then "Functions", then "Maintenance" and then "OK". Once in service mode, you can try to reset the waste ink counter.
Clean the print head: Clean the print head to ensure that the printer is properly aligned and functioning correctly.
Replace the waste ink absorber: If the waste ink absorber is full, it will need to be replaced.
The Canon website indicates that is a hardware problem, there's nothing i can do. You call a technician or the canon help support. This is the description of the code:
It is not recommend you try to fix it yourself, you can try to manually reset the error code, but if the waste ink is really nearly full and you reset it, it could damage the printer pretty severely. Here are manual reset instructions for a similar model printer, it should work on the F60 if the buttons are the same:
1) Enter Service mode by pressing: menu-copy-#
2) select: Test Mode
3) select [8] printer test in test mode
4) select 3 [eeprom clear]
5) select 0 [ink count]
6) press the [stop/reset] key (returning to the state of 3), and press the [on/off] key
If that doesn't work try this one:
1) Enter service mode by pressing MENU,COPY,SCAN,COPY,COPY
