Make sure the card is legit. If it was purchased, for instance, off of Ebay, or other not-so-top-tier online store, as likely as not it's a fake made in China, likely with guts from manufacturing rejects. You might, for instance, get a card marked 32Gb that actually has a 2Gb chip in it with a hacked controller that says it's 32Gb. It'll seem to work OK for a few files, and at some point will just write your files into no-where. SD Insight, a free checker app for Android phones can be picked up here
