It "could" be a bad replacement bulb; did you buy from JVC? If you got a good bulb, chances are that it is the optical engine and is more costly to fix than to just replace the TV.

The lamp is turned on by a high voltage ballast, very similar to the ones in your fluorsecent light fixtures. Your ballast is starting to fail. You should have your TV serviced by a JVC authorized service center because they have the training to deal with this issue. Waiting until it fails could very likely cause more servere damage especially if it fails shorted then the power supply will need to be replaced as well.
