I have a blackberry pearl flip phone and when you change the settings for the ringer to vibrate or silent it does this action just fine. However, when you set it back to my advanced settings or the basic ringer itself, the phone displays that the action was successful but it stays stuck on vibrate or silent. The only way to get it working again is to pull the battery and reset it..... what the @#*%?

SOURCE: Rim Blackberry Pearl flip 8220. Cannot retrive MMS pictures

By retrieve do you mean you have already recevied them and they are no longer visible to you?! If so check the following.

You may have already tried some of these options, but for the sake of completeness.

Check your icons are not hidden. From desktop/ Options/ Show All.

The MMS Data - MultiMedia Messages may be stored along with
your Text messages - check this folder.

Check all your Media folders - including My Pictures and Preloaded.

Failing all of the above - Check MMS in Options and MMS and do the same for Media Card.

If you connect your Blackberry to your PC you will be able to see all stored files and their location..

If you are not able to receive them in the first instance - You will need to enable yout Blackberry to receive them by MMS in Options and checking this option in addition your Network Provider will need to send you settings to store.

SOURCE: blackberry flip pearl constantly reboots.

I've had the same problem, particularly after upgrading the OS. I've been able to keep it reboot free for 24 hours after resending the service books from the bberry portal (and I'm even using it unlocked from T-Mobile on AT&T).

My iphne 3 will only vibrate but not ring

If you're missing incoming phone calls due to your iPhone not ringing, you may have accidentally switched the ringer to vibrate or silent, according to Apple. The switch on the left side of the iPhone turns off the ringer and usually sets your phone to vibrate mode, but if your iPhone's vibrate setting is also disabled the phone will instead be set to silent mode. When in the phone's sound settings vibrate mode can be enabled, and the ringer volume of your phone is adjustable.

Shoing call coming in but not ringing

Hey there, Check that your profile is not on Meeting or Silent. It it is, change it back to General. It should then work.
If not, go to your settings and change the ringtone, its probably on silent, so change it to "Ring & Vibrate".
I hope I helped you & that this post is helpful to you at most! Don't forget to rate! ;) marinora_38.jpeg

Blackberries...hahah my specialty. Go to the sound section, click on Set Ring Tones/Alerts and make sure that you are on a Normal Profile. If you are, then make sure your ringer volume is not set at "vibrate"

Got a new Blackberry Storm and my ringer won't ring

Check either your profile or under "Options" -> "Sounds and Ringer Tones" and see if your volume is set to "Silent". Change volume to something other than "Silent" and see if your ringer works then.

My BB pearl 8100 doesn't ring for incoming calls/messages/emails, but if i go to listen my ringtones or music they all sound fine, i think it got corrupted or something because no matter how i change the...

Not sure if the pearl interface is the same as mine, a Storm - I have an option on my main screen to fast-select ring volume (called Notification), which affects both calls and messages, and I can choose loud, soft, vibrate, silent, and also go into options for more detailed settings. You may have such an option that is easy to find, and maybe easy to set by mistake, without realising it.

Pearl manual at this location:
http://docs.blackberry.com/en/smartphone_users/deliverables/1217/userguide_bb8100_gprs.pdf
see p193, Notification Profiles.
There are other keys, eg # that affect notification sounds/vibrate. Download and search in the manual for 'Notification" to find all the places mentioned.

Even if you have a paper manual, I recommend keeping the electronic one since you can easily search for keywords and find all the places they are mentioned quickly.

Not recieving calls just getting the missed call

Check settings to assure the ringer is on. Rather than silent and/or vibrate mode. Sorry I can't provide much more than that. It's difficult to say without having more details.

I have a borowed Blackberry Pearl. I can't figure out how to turn my audible ringer "ON!" Among many other issues but, I can't hear when my phone has an incoming call! Help please?

Go to profiles and make sure it's not in "quiet" or "vibrate" mode. If it is, choose either normal or loud.

If normal or loud are already selected you may need to go to advanced settings (at the bottom of the profile list).

In the advanced menu, click on the active profile, then choose phone. Make sure it is set for "tone" or "vibrate + tone" in both the out of holster and in holster sections.
