Where is thermal fuse located on my Bosch dishwasher model number SHX 43mo5uc

Dishwasher stopped working mid cycle. It is dead. Tried the breaker switch, but still dead. Thought it could be a thermal fuse. Does this model have a thermal fuse and where would it be?

Dishwasher shuts off mid cycle

Hi Ray.
i found this out.
The reason for the dishwasher to stop mid cycle is that the thermal fuse is shorting out because it is either fouled, dirty, broken, or loosely connected. If your dishwasher is older, the thermal fuse is used as a safety switch to stop the motor and circuit board when the dishwasher gets too hot.

Stopped in mid cycle and wont restart

Hi....I think I can help you with this. I checked a troubleshooting site for Crosley dishwashers, and there could be a couple of reasons why the cycle stopped:
1. The thermal fuse shuts off power to the dishwasher if it overheats. If the thermal fuse blows, it will prevent the dishwasher from starting. To determine if the thermal fuse is defective, use a multimeter to test the fuse for continuity. If the thermal fuse does not have continuity, replace it.
2. The door switch prevents the dishwasher from running while the door is open. If the door switch is defective, the switch will prevent the dishwasher from running even when the door is closed. To determine if the door switch is at fault, use a multimeter to test the switch for continuity. If the switch does not have continuity, replace it.
3. The door latch ensures that the dishwasher door latches shut. If the door does not latch properly, the door switch might prevent the dishwasher from running. If the door latch is broken, replace it.

You'll need the model number for your particular dishwasher.

Kenmore elite dishwasher stops mid cycle

I assume you mean it stopped in mid cycle and is now dead. If this is the case you will need to turn off the power to the dishwasher and remove the screws holding the front control panel There is a thermal fuse clipped to the front of the control panel Check it using an ohmmeter or continuity tester If it is open you will need to replace it with a kit containing the fuse and wire connectors Do not replace just the thermal fuse the problem will surely return. Also inspect the control board for burned areas. If the control board is burned you should replace the wiring harness with the control assembly

Most Whirlpool manufactured dishwashers have a thermal fuse, located inside the operator console. When tripped, the dishwasher will not run. A power outage can cause the thermal fuse to trip. It cannot be reset and has to be replaced, if bad. Please post back with your COMPLETE MODEL NUMBER (located around the door opening) so I can determine the configuration of your dishwasher and explain how to access any potential fuses. -->

Check the wiring in the units junction box. Its located at the bottom right corner. You will likely find melted connectors. If so, you need to cut the wires back and replace these connectors. Make sure you turn the power off before doing any of this work of course. Good Luck.

Completely dead. breaker is fine. have live power at dishwasher. ???? Replaced heater, pump and check valve last year. No obvious burnt or disconnected wires.

There is a thermal fuse located behind the operator console on nearly all Kenmore or Whirlpool manufactured dishwashers. There were some noted problems with certain model dishwashers where the wire gauge on the thermal fuse was too small and would heat up causing the thermal fuse to blow prematurely. There is a replacement kit available that includes a wire harness with a larger gauge wire that you simply splice in place. It handles current better and prevents the fuse from blowing prematurely. To ease your mind, there were no reports of fire hazard.

If you need to view a diagram of your dishwasher, enter your model number at the website mentioned for some excellent exploded view illustrations. The thermal fuse is usually listed under the "Control Panel Parts" heading.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Whirlpool GU2500XTP dishwasher went dead in mid-cycle.

"Wondering if this model has had reliability issues with the circuit card." ...If by circuit card you mean the electronic control board, that part number is used in many other models as well. In my experience with these control boards, I believe they have a low failure rate.

Make these checks if you haven't done so yet...
Check for 120V (breaker). Look for loose/shorted wiring connection at the dishwasher's junction box. Check all wiring connections to the control panel, electronic control and thermal fuse. Test the continuity of the thermal fuse (part # 8193762). If that's ok, you have already replaced the control panel so the problem is likely with the electronic control board (part # 8564546).
Good luck.

I have a kenmore dishwasher and it stopped in the middle of a cycle and water is in the bottom. No response from the dishwasher, plug is ok and not tripped. Is there a reset button or not?

When the dishwasher stops in mid cycle and there is no console lights illuminated, then more times than not the thermal fuse has gone out. The thermal fuse is located on the power supply board which is located inside of the console. you must remove the console in order to gain access to the power supply board. the thermal fuse is white and has to wires connected to it. a black wire and a black wire w/white stripe. disconnect the power at the panel box first, before you start. you then remove the old fuse, by "plucking it up" w/ a small flat head screw driver. then you remove the two wires connected to the fuse and place the new fuse in the spot ot the old fuse and place the wires on the new fuse. any order of placement will work. There is a fuse kit that will handle the electrical surges that may have cause the fuse burn out in the first place.
