hi johnni,
the puk or the pin unlock key is when you entered the wrong pin on the phone more than 3 times. To unlock it, you better call the customer service of your provider, which is vodafone, and ask for your puk. Accessing your puk is free. The vodafone site has an option to access the puk, just visit the vodafone site (example, if your from australia, vodafone.com.au then click on self service, then click on manage mobile settings online (including PUK), then click on learn more to activate your sim card using your PUK.
There are 3 ways to accessing your puk: the first is thru online: Register and/or login at My Vodafone. Once you've logged in, navigate to the My Vodafone menu (top of screen) and select 'My Phone Setup' then 'Settings Summary'. The PUK code is located under Mobile Information second is thru email, on the contact us section provided on the site of vodafone third is thru contacting vodafone. once you have your PUK, enter the code on the phone, then you will be prompted to enter your chosen pin (4-8 characters) then re-enter your chosen pin then your phone should be working. please take note that some motorolla and sagem phone require you to enter **05* before the PUK
code.
many thanks,
nina
the PUK could be asked from your carrier, such as Vodafone, Hutchinson, etc... the handset will automatically ask for PUK code, if you have entered wrong PIN codes for three times
It;s Simple To Unlock the Sony Ericsson Spiro from the United Kingdom(UK's) Vodafone Network lock,You can use the Unlock code to Unlock the mobile,To get the Unlock code here http://www.mobileunlocksolutions.com/sony-ericsson-spiro/rs1wp9/ and Unlock it then use it in O2 Network.
Default is always 12345678 then it asks you for new PIN. Enter 0000 and enter 0000 again to confirm but if it says incorrect PUK, please stop there and call vodafone customer care line using a different (friends maybe) phone and ask them for correct PUK. they will give it to you FREE. Be carefull because putting in an invalid PUK code many times can make your simcard permanentlly unusable!!! Regards
If you try pin more than few predefined no of times your phone will ask PUK code which can also be given only by your service provider(vodafone) which is specific for each and every mobile number . Donot try PUK code many times or else your sim will be blocked and you will need a new sim. Contact your sim customer care department over phone. Its free of cost to get the pin or puk no. Go to the nearest service outlet of your service provider(vodafone) they can also help you. There is no other go than the above procedure only your service provider can give it nobody else in this world nor any software.
The PUK code is a code associated with the SIM card and not with the phone.
You have only two ways to get rid of the PUK code. Either you replace
the SIM card , or you call phone provider that issued the sim cadr (eg.
At&T, Virgin, Tmobile , Vodafone, Telecom etc.)
PUK means "personal unlocking key" .
The PUK code is asked if you enter a wrong pin 3 times.
You need to call the phone company that released the SIM card, they can retrieve the PUK code from a database for free.
In your case you need to contact your SIM card provider technical support to unlock the SIM.
The PIN and PUK are related to the SIM card, not to the phone.
If you replace the SIM card with a different one, then the phone will not ask for the PUK anymore. d dd
you need to contact your mobile service provider for them to give you the code to reactivate your simcard, or if you stillhave the simcard holder the PUK code should be on the back of the card.
