need to test unit for short

My 2021 Frigidaire also turned on by itself 2 days ago. It also got hot and would not turn off except at the breaker. After 10 minutes I turned breaker on and the microwave was still on. Turned breaker on the next morning and all good. We are afraid to leave house unless we turn breaker off. Any suggestions? Do I need a new microwave?

nope sure isnt, if it doesnt turn on you may have just blown either the load in fuse or the high voltage fuse down the bottom, remove the cover should be a couple screws round the outside and check fuses if you know how (MAKE SURE ITS UNPLUGGED FROM THE POWER FIRST) (NEVER START THE MICROWAVE WITHOUT THE METAL COVER ON AS THIS ACTS AS A RADIATION SHIELD)

Burnt wires or connections at or bad door switch.

You probably have a bad door switch or door switch mount. See this file.

Press clear/reset button and hold 5 seconds. If this doesn't work unplug unit or shut off breaker for 10 seconds.
