Washer out ballance

Hi Joe
Check lower balance springs, remove front panel to view there are 6-8 of these, to gain access and remove the front cover, insert a knife or thin blade approx. 4" in the from each side in between the seam on the front panel, this will release the top cover clips and the top cover can be hinged up and back. undo the two top screws to remove the front panel. Also check drum is rotating at full speed when spinning, if not spinning at full speed check and replace drive belt.

Estate dryer will not heat. Does not even start to heat up.

You could have a broken igniter element. to trplace this you must first remove the front panel. To do this remove the lint screen and you will see 2 screws, remove them - next take a broad blade putty knife and insert aproxametly 1 to 2 " where the top meet the front panel on each side and the top should pop up, next rempve the 2 screws on either side of the front panel and the front panel will remove. Down at the opening of the funnel you will see a ceramoc disk with an element attached if this is broken that is why you do not see the glow.

Hi How do i get a bra-wire from inside the drum. Nothing is protruding into the drum but I an hear it clicking. Elilse

There is virtually nothing that can be done to remove this without taking the entire machine apart. You can try one thing tho, try removing the bottom front panel to access the drain hose. Remove it from the tub and see if you can spin the drum to get it to fall out the bottom:)

My front loader leaks water because the door gasket, called a boot I believe, is torn and needs replacing. There is nothing in the manual that gives even a clue as to how to remove this boot or how to...

There should be a spring loaded clamp on the outer panel and a screwed together wire clamp on the tub. You may have a water inlet clamp on this model and possibly a drain clamp at the bottom center. Take your time so you do not tear the new one. If you are really a go getter you can remove the top panel of the machine, the control panel, the door lock, the bottom panel and the entire front of the machine to gain easy access to the tub side of the boot. Remove the outer spring loaded clamp first before attempting to remove the front panel.

I am trying to replace the belt but the drum is still attached to the back (I have taken every visible screw out). Should I try from the front? Is there a way of getting the drum unsecured from the back?

Dryers do not open from the back
the screws removed secure parts to the inside of the case
carefully replace them.
to opent the front of the dryer
unplg dryer

type I: maytag:kenmore stackable:speedqueen:
  • remove 2 screws from bottom of front panel, swing front panel out at bottom and unhook from dop
  • remove door switch wires from switch
  • remove front panel set aside
type II: Kenmore:whirlpool:ge:frigidaire
  • remove lint filter
  • remove 2 screws in lint filter holder
  • with putty knife or other blunt blade
depress spring catches at corners of top cover
  • lift top cover at front
  • remove 1screw each side 1/3 way down
  • remove door switch wires
  • remove front panel set aside
dryer internals are exposed and easily repairable
examine back panel to ensure that nothing is detached from screw removal
assemble in reverse order

Note:
while the dryer is disassembled, examine felts rollers and glides for wear, most common cause of belt breakage, if there is any wear, replace.
examine fan, fan housing and ducting for lint that got past the filter screen.

Ws-5511 Mitsubishi

On these models we have found that a switch is sticking on the control panel not allowing the set to operate properly.
Disconnect the control panel.
You will be able to use the remote on it.
To find the plugs for the control panel:
Remove the speaker grill and front panel, then follow the wire to the connection.

Remember to unplug the set before putting your hands inside of it.
