A green LED that blinks On and Off is an indication on some models that the TV is receiving commands from the remote controller.
Try removing the batteries from the controller and then see if the LED continues to flash. If so the receiver in the TV is broken, otherwise if it stops whilst the remote has no batteries and continues once you replace the batteries then it will be the controller at fault.
To test the remote to find out id the led emitter is working, use your cell phone camera to look at the led while you're pushing a button on the remote. If you see the led blinking, then the trouble is in the receiver. If you don't see the led flash, the remote is toast.
I have changed the batteries in my remote starter. It will light up but is not working at all to unlock the locks or start the vehicle. Is there some kind of reset that I need to perform???
If the led is solid blue when the key is out of the ignition that means your in valet mode. Which would disable the alarm, but not the starter. Simply turn key to IGN position then back to OFF.Push the valet button which is on the antenna next to the led and the led should turn off.Close door on vehicle and lock vehicle.Siren should now chirp. Cheers!!
There are two constant 12 volt wires at the ignition on this vehicle: blue and green. The red power (with fuses) wires from the Viper should be connected to either of the two. The ignition wire is yellow. The pink wire from the Viper should be connected there. The accessories are orange and white. The pink with white from the Viper should connected to one and the orange from the Viper should be connected to the other. Please note that the Pink with white should be programmed to act as an accessory (off during crank). The starter wire is red and the purple from the Viper should be connected there. Also check for a good ground connection.
For programming:
Press and hold "f" until LED lights solid (approximately 10 seconds), then press and hold remote starter button(circle w/arrow) until LED blinks three times and the amber transmit LED lights up.
Now you have to enter the remote control learn routine: Turn ignition on, within ten seconds press and release control button on antenna then, press and hold control button while pressing the lock button on remote. System will respond (horn/chirp/flashing parking lights) when holding control button and when pressing lock button on remote.
when switch ON it blinks 7time blue led - then switch OFF by SELF and blinks 8time blue led.
Of-course when it switch off by self the TV swap the led from blue to red but the blinking Blue led is on the Receiver (The switcher on the TV is never blinking)
your remote starter is in valet mode, the door lock will still work but no remote start, try pressing the trunk button 3 times, if that doesn't work turn the ignition switch on and off 5 times
