Nothing on screen when DVD inputs are plugged into our Aquos.

DVD player only,we know there is nothing wrong with the DVD player as it plays fine when plugged into another tv.Maybe the inputs are faulty?also we have plugged our lap top into it and the screen saver shows up on screen but thats it;nothing else.

Check that the input you are plugging the DVD into on the TV is actually selected as the TVs input. Try using a different input and also different input types/cables. Most DVD players will have HDMI and also either component or composite type outputs. Try the different cable type and make sure the TV is looking at the correct input. Do you have sound?

My Insignia Blu-ray DVD player and our Panasonic DVD player are playing only the sound with no picture. We put the correct imputs on the TV. They were playing fine a few days ago. We have Charter cable....

Sounds like the input board on the tv fried. (45-65$ fix if that's it)

Try the same two devices on different inputs , ie change from hdmi to component , or just use hdmi 2 instead of one, you get the idea.

Make sure the devices dont work on other inputs on the tv.

Then take a different device , like a 3rd dvd player and try it.

If nothing works in that input but works in other inputs the tv input board might (likely) need replacing.

If the third fresh device does work in that input , it is both dvd players or the cable you are using. (try to use a different cable in the tests than the one you have already used. )

DVD Player doesn't work on DRC6355N VCR/DVD Combo

With most dvd/vcr combo units there is separate wiring. When I use my emerson combo unit I have it wired that I have to be on different inputs on my tv to view a dvd and a vhs. On some units the vcr portion is wired via a regular cable line, while the dvd portion is wired with the yellow, red, and white component cable. Try inserting a dvd and scrolling through your tv inputs until you find the picture or check your wiring to ensure nothing has come loose. If that has no result you could try wiring it differently if possible to eliminate that as a possibility.

My car Advent DVD player has a blue screen and wont play? WHAT IS WRONG?

Blue screen means no input source. Check for loose connections. Run a commercial disc cleaner through it to clean the laser lens. Still nothing? then replace the optical drive in the unit cause it has given up the ghost.

Blue screen only

double check the input, the simple way is using a good DVD player and good A/V Cable. plug in the A/V cable in DVD A/V output, then plug the other plug into TV A/V input. Then set your tv to AV input. if nothing comes out even though the dvd player is playing. The TV AV switch maybe damaged.
