HOT TO REPLACE THE LANIER LD 122 GREEN TONER LOCK LEVER/CAM HANDLE

First buy handle ansd slide holder. What's has happen toner has gotten behind it that's way handle broke or won't close properly. Second there is another lever you push to slide hopper all the way out. Keep it level or you will spill toner every where. Make sure you have a towel or somethings for toner spill to put under toner hopper. Second remove metal bar and then slightly pull up tabs could be three of them be careful is a spring behind it. It will push inter cover out and can spray toner everywhere if you just let it pop out. Once this is done now can remove green handle. And reverse procure

Very Common problem on that model Problem with the toner hopper assembly. Sometimes the green handle metal pin is out of position. The plastic green handles break a lot also.

1.Turn off the printer power switch. Press the front cover release button and then open the front cover.
2.Hold the green handle of the drum unit. Lift the drum unit up and then pull it out until it stops.
3.Release the gray lock lever (1) that is on the left side of the printer. Pull the drum unit completely out of the printer.
4.Hold the green parts of the belt unit with both hands and lift the belt unit up, then pull it out.
5.Remove the waste toner box from the printer using the green handle.
6.Unpack the new waste toner and put the new waste toner box in the printer using the green handle.
7.Put the belt unit back in the printer. Match the mark on the belt unit to the mark on the printer. Push down on the green area of the belt unit to lock it in place.
8.Put the drum unit back in the printer as follows.

Make sure that the gray lock lever (1) is in the up position and put the drum unit in the printer. Push down the gray lock lever (1).
Push the drum unit in until it stops.
9.Close the front cover. And turn on the printer power switch.

Check and measurement the fuser unit components(heater lamp,thermistors and thermalswitch) and check the toner quantity in the copier.If not toner the machine not start to working.

Hello sir; I believed you talking about LD045, am I right? In this model it doesn't have waste toner bottle, the only place you can clean is imaging transfer unit, after you cleanup the message will be disappear.

I ended up taking out the toner bottle completely and just running copies (with no toner in place) until they came out crisp. This used up the toner that was floating around. I was able to make about 700 copies before I needed to put the toner back in. But a **** of paper is still much cheaper than getting a service tech.

Hmmm.. try this

1. Open the Front Cover
2. Lift the large green handle up to its full extent
3. Press and hold down the green lever to the left of the green handle
4. Use the green handle to pull out the Toner Tray slightly then release the green lever
5. Pull out the Toner Tray to its full extent
6. Push the toner bottle towards the front of the black housing where the green lever is located
7. Push the green lever down while continuing to hold the toner bottle towards it.
8. Slide the whole assembly back into the device until it clicks into place
9. Close the Front Cover
10. The device should now attempt to Add Toner
11. If the Add Toner indicator light does not go out repeat

the part numbers are different for each toner from ricoh, Lanier, Savin and Gestetner. From what I recall is the bottles are different, check the old bottle vs new. Also if the machine had run very low you may have to open and close the fron cover several times, this intiates a toner feed program.
