I have just bought a samsung soundbar hw h355 and I'm trying to connect it up to my toshiba tv, via the aux cable but I get no sound from it via the tv link. I works when I link my phone up via Bluetooth. I've tried two different ports for connection and neither provided any sound has any one got any ideas what I could do?

Please get a optical cable and run it from TV to soundbar for best sound. If you are using aux input on sound bar that will work but it is analog sound. TV needs to have mini audio out or red/white output on it maybe labeled audio out

SOURCE: Trying to connect samsung soundbar to Technika tv.

Hi probably a silly comment - have you connected to the AV in or Out sockets on the TV? Worth checking? also do you need to select an audio profile on your TV in order to divert from the internal speakers. Worth looking at your sound preferences on your TV

Got an ONN TV and an ONN soundbar. Hooked up via RCA cable. TV audio in PCM mode. Soundbar in AUX mode. Can't get any sound from soundbar. What have I missed?

PCM mode is a digital audio file that should be sent to the soundbar via an optical or coaxial digital audio cable. The coaxial digital audio cable uses an RCA plug but not the L/R stereo channels of analog audio. The aux input is usually the 3.5 MM cable from a computer, CD or MP3 player or a cell phone or tablet.

First, which type of RCA cable is connected between the sound bar and the TV? Second, are you sure that the TV connection is an audio out? (A number of recent TVs have only one audio output. This means there is only the optical audio out and not even a headphone jack.)

Once you double-check the input at the sound bar, choose the Line In input if you are using the stereo RCA cable. If you are using the Optical input, select that input. Use either the Mode button or the specific input button on the remote. Then double-check that the TV is set for the appropriate audio out.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the model of the TV and the sound bar for further information. I looked at the ONB18SB001 documentation for some of this. The manual for this Onn soundbar is available at Manuals Lib. See https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1498038/Onn-Onb18sb001.html?page=12#manual for the list of input modes and the input to which they correspond. Here is the image of the inputs on the back of the ONB18SB001: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1498038/Onn-Onb18sb001.html?page=7#manual .

Does the Samsung UN50f6300af smart led tv support the Samsung Wireless audio soundbar HW-H450?

Because your TV is not Bluetooth-enabled and you are trying to connect it to a Bluetooth-enabled soundbar via Bluetooth. There are other ways to connect your TV to the soundbar:

1. analog AUDIO OUT (L/R) of your TV to the AUX IN on the soundbar (use a 3.5 mm.-to-RCA audio cable).
2. Optical OUT on your TV to Optical IN on the soundbar.
3. HDMI port to HDMI port (this may not work if your TV is not ARC compliant you have to try).

You get better sound quality with option 2.or 3. (if this one works for your TV)

Here is the link to download the soundbar's User Manual for help with the connections:

How do I connect Samsung soundbar 550 to sanyo dp55441?

Use the audio out ports on the Sanyo to get audio to the Soundbar. You can use a single digital audio cable or the legacy RCA audio cables. The Audio Out ports are marked in white on the back of the TV. If it doesn't work, turn off the TV Speakers in the TV's menu.

Cannot figure out how to connect my new sound bar to my older TV

Use a high speed HDMI cable form the TV to the sound bar. HDMI cables carry sound as well as picture signals. Refer to your TV's user manual http://www.hdtvsolutions.com/pdf/52527-62528.pdf
and the Samsung product support page http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/HW-F450/ZA for assistance

I have recently purchased the Samsung hwd450 sound bar. After about a month of use, the sound has begun cutting out when watching tv. Changing the input or powering off corrects the problem. The cable box...

Yep... the "formula" is generally this:

"IF it's electronic, MOST failures happen in the first 30 days".

THAT
is written in stone somewhere on a tomb wall.

But THIS MAY be your answer:

"I too, put up with the "Audio Hiccups" for months and after trying nearly everything, including replacing all my connections and even the sound bar itself, I realized that it had to be something in the software or settings. So ... I went into Settings/Audio and changed the Digital Audio Output from "Auto" to "PCM" ... it worked!!! I haven't had any problems with the audio since; hope this helps you, my friend."
