Hi just read your posting. Now when the lights flash is the machine beeping? If it is beeping are the lights that are flashing on the wash progress line?If they are starting from the left to right which lights are lit,is it the 1st and 5th or the 3rd and 6th etc. Please reply with additional information and i am sure I can help you.Looking forward to your reply.
It sounds like this is a Fisher and Paykel-made top load washing machine and you are referring to the Wash Progress LEDs. The flashing of the 3rd, 5th, 7th and 8th LEDs from left to right indicates fault code 43 and it means the Motor Controller Module has detected that the out of balance switch is permanently tripped. The out of balance switch lever may have been stuck in the open position or the harness connecting it and the Motor Controller Module is disconnected.
Move the basket assembly as far as it can go towards the right hand
rear corner of the cabinet several times to possibly lodge the lever back into close position. Raise the top cover then locate the out of balance switch at the right hand corner of the cabinet then make sure the lever is hanging freely. Disconnect the out of balance switch wire harness, if the lever is properly hanging but the same LEDs are still flashing (Fault Code 43), then join the terminals together to bypass the switch.
Reconnect power then start the machine. Replace the out of balance (OOB) switch if the machine works fine with the switch bypassed. If not, check the continuity of the OOB switch wire harness and make sure it is snugly connected to the Motor Controller Module. The problem is in the Motor Controller Module if the wire harness is intact and snugly connected but the machine still doesn't work even with the OOB swicth bypassed. Replace the Motor Controller Module if that is the case.
Hi just read your posting. Now when the machine beeps an error code will appear. This will be in your LCD display or in a series of lights being lit.Now the lights that are lit when the machine is beeping will be in a row of 8 lights.Starting from the left to right which lights are lit when the machine stops and beeps,Is it the 2nd and 5th or the 3rd and 7th ---etc---? Please reply reply with additional information and I am sure I can help you rectify this fault.Looking forward to your reply.

The machine has diagnosed that the 'out of balance' switch needs to be checked...It may be wiring, but most likely the oob switch has failed or the connections have become 'dry'..
The oob switch is situated under the motor controller module.
A very simple job for a tech.
Good luck....Nomess
Hi just read your posting. Now when the machine stops does, it beep and show a series of lights. If it does show lights that are lit then they will be in a row of 8 lights.Starting from left to right which ones are on?Is it the 2nd and 4th or the 5th and 7th ---etc---?Please reply with additional information and I can help you rectify this problem.
I have exactly the same issue, which first appeared yesterday. Following your advice, the lights that are lit are 3rd, 5th, 7th and 8th. The SLOW & HOLD spin speed lights are lit, along with constant beeping :)
