I would try a new main board, or check to be sure you have all the voltages coming from the power board, some sets have a separate voltage supply for the sound

go into the tv guide menu and there should be a option to record

Is your digital wave player an outdated version?If so, you may have to update it you can get it from the Olympus site..I downloaded the original software from: http://www.mywma.org/vn2100pc.html then update it from : http://www.olympus-europa.com/consumer/2590_software.cfm
