check the midi signals being generated against what your program expects. You'll possibly find a control has ceased working in which case it's likely a bin job. If however the setting is wrong you can normally change it in the program.
Basically you've got no chance. Behringer are very protective and use proprietary parts so when out of warranty most of their items are throw away.
We always insist with our main suppliers that we get a repair and service manual at the time of purchase or we do not buy. This has stopped us buying on several occasions, We do still buy some behringer kit but only because of the three year warranty, we then sell before the three years is up. Most major manufacturers have no problem supplying the manuals however, and this has saved us a lot of money as we do some repairs in house. We do spend many 000s a year so maybe have a little more clout than some.
I have the same keyboard and it works...i had trouble installing the drivers cz it doesnt have autorun....what i did was plugged in my usb cable then when the bubble pops up saying found new hardware click onit and follow those prompts instead of opening the cd...once thats installed go to options/midi and you will see the keyboard there as midi be sure to click enable... remember that smc converter is not the installation fo the midi drivers so once u install smc convert your keyboard still wouldnt function as a midi hope that answers your question...
Four things to check:
Sometimes you must leave the device disconnected while installing.
You must turn OFF ALL anti-virus, spyware, anti-adware, popup blockers during install.
Sometimes you have to do the install in SAFE MODE.
Make sure the driver you have is Win 7 compatible.
You may have to coax it back by unplugging or even trying a different connector on the computer. It may have disabled the port due to a current spike. Using the devoce manager in the windows control panel, see if the port has been disabled. If necessary delete the device and tell it to seearch for new hardware.
Sometimes just plugging into a different USB port on the back of the laptop will work better than the ones on the sides. I also find using the headphone jack out to a couple RCA mixer channels is far more reliable that USB which often comes and goes. Just a thought. Beringher should have the drivers, you can download and install the universal ASIO drivers as well which can be a little tricky but works for recording - from here: http://www.asio4all.de/
Make sure you verify that your computer meets the requirements for the Omega. I have one of these and it installed on an XP with no problem.
Maybe you have Vista instead of XP. OFTEN there are incompatibilities of Vista. If you have that or heaven forbod Windows 7, you may either need a different WDM or have to backstep to the XP operating system.
In short, VERIFY the requirements of teh Omega and its software with the OS and system you are trying to install it on.
A last thing to try is to install it while in "SAFE MODE".
Did the keyboard come with a cd?If so(which it usually comes with),put the cd into your drive and it may just run the drivers. If nothing happens, leave the cd in the drive and go to control panel/install new hardware tab in the control panel. Then it should display a list of programs on your computer with a question mark next to it to describe that it is not running correctly(make sure the keyboard is plugged in when you do this).Click on the line that says your keyboard or it may say something along those lines...Then it will opt you to use the internet or install the program manually.Select manually and it should search for the driver, and if your cd is still in the drive,it will find any driver on said cd and install it so your keyboard will work.
Any of these keyboards usually come with software anyways,so it should be on the cd.If you dont have one:look up casio on google and see if you can get the drivers from their knowledge base.
