And also for reference Microsoft does not support pst files that are larger than 2GB in size, they can be corrupted really easy.
The thing with the PST file is that it is a database file so even if you throw away a multitude of mails from within the PST file the size will still be the same. You indeed have to compact it. This can also be done in Outlook itself ( see info below). But as said, because the file is this large you might corrupt it. I would suggest creating a new PST file and copy information into it until you reach 2GB and then create a new one. Do this until all mails are moved. Even then you might want to try and compact the file.

On the File menu, click Data File Management.
Click to select your Personal Folder, and then click Settings.
On the General tab, click Compact Now.
Click OK, and then click Close.

How do I split oversized Outlook PST files into smaller parts? Can I break my very large PST file into multiple average PST files of the required size and date?

Splitting a PST file is always a great idea to protect files from getting corrupted due to their large size. But there are more such reasons for splitting the file. However, it can be done either manually or by any Professional method.

Outlook does not provide any inbuilt utility for splitting PST files. Therefore, I found there are 3 methods can be done manually that helps to divide large size PST file into small size PST files.
I followed the below steps from this link: How to split pst file into small files with a pst file splitter software

Method 1. Reduce Size of PST file Using Archive Feature You can use Archive features that available in Outlook to split large PST files into smaller parts.
Method 2. Use Import/Export Option to Manage Large Size PST File You can split large PST files with Import/Export wizard.
Method 3. Reduce Outlook Mailbox Size Using Move to Folder Option You can also try to move to folder option to split large PST file in Outlook.

Choosing the manual method is cost-effective but it requires technical knowledge related to Outlook wizard. Also, it has various steps that can easily lead to the corruption of the PST file.
So it's better to choose a professional method for this task, even I used Stellar Splitter for Outlook for the same reason. The best thing is it split multiple files simultaneously as per the requirement such as size, date, email id, and folders

How to increase size of pst file in MS outlook to be more than GB

The size will automatically increase. But actually you don't want it to be too big as it can slow things down and also increase the risks of corruption and problems.
Better to split the PST file if it becomes too big.
