How to switch on Blue touch of Dell e5500

If there is no switch on the side of the laptop or front of the laptop, then it might be controlled by a button above the keyboard or by some keystrokes such as hitting the FN or ALT key then the responding key that toggles the bluetooth. it's dependent upon the wireless being on so make sure you have the wireless on.

Fn key not working on Dell Latitude E6400

one quick simple test to see if the key works is hold the Fn key and press the power button on a clod boot from power off state. If the PSA diagnostics start the Fn button is functional, and we'll need to troubleshoot other issues.
If the PSA diagnostics do not start, then reseat the keyboard (It has a slot connector into the palmrest) and see if that resolves. If still no change, replace 1st the keyboard, and if that doesn't resolve the palmrest.

When i switched on my dell laptop (latitude E5500) today, it just displayed a black screen . the tiny power lights on the keyboard are blue which means the laptop is working fine ,just the screen goes...

hold the Fn Key while powering on, this will enable the PSA diagnostics, if you get any video and or the diags function then that should give you an indication of the problem.
If you only get LED lock light indications, then check here:

Windows xp dell latitude e6400 print screen command? tried fn+alt+ (f11) prt scrn and fn+(f11) prt scrn neither worked looking foreward to hear from you

What the Print Screen option does is copies the screen to the clipboard. You will need to use a program such as Word and past the content to the open page.
By hitting the Print Screen button by itself will show the image of the desktop.
The Alt + Print Screen combination will give you a pic of the active window

You can also try this...
If your Print Screen is labeled in blue & your Function key is also blue then you have to hold Fn key while using Print Scrn , "Fn"+"Print Scrn" or "Fn"+"Alt+Print Scrn"

let me know if you have any other questions..
Thanks!

How do I adjust brightness on my Dell Latitude D6...

Look for a key labeled "Fn" (blue lettering) on the lower left side of the keyboard

Hold the "Fn" key and then use the Up/Down arrows to adjust brightness.

If that doesn't work, reboot your laptop and get into the BIOS. There is a screen for brightness. I don't recall how it is labeled, but it's one of the last pages as you cycle through the BIOS options.

Once windows loads, the display stops working

There are many problems that could affect displays. Once could be as simple as pressing your Fn key and the Up arrow to increase the brightness. Try Fn Key and F4 key after it boots to see if it is onl the proper display.

If either of these tricks work then it could be a power inverter or backlight bulb.

Your best bet is to take it to a computer repair shop.
